About NaturVet Vitamins and Supplements

Digestive Support for Pets

Gastrointestinal upsets can cause your best friend grief and impact his overall health, leading to loose stools and other challenges due to a disturbance in the gut flora. NaturVet Digestive and Probiotic supplements help restore microbial imbalance and promote GI health in your pet by providing the healthy digestive enzymes, gut flora-feeding prebiotics and probiotic microorganisms your pet needs.

How Digestive Enzymes Help

Digestive enzymes aid in the breakdown of food and proper absorption of nutrients for better and healthier digestion. Enzymes like alpha-amylase for starch, protease for protein, cellulase for cellulose and lipase for triglycerides play an important role in how the body breaks down and metabolizes food. Supplementing these enzymes can help make digestion easier for a challenged pet.

Prebiotics Vs. Probiotics

When a GI imbalance occurs, it usually means there are too many bad bacteria and not enough good bacteria in the gut. Probiotics like bacillus coagulans and bacillus subtilis help restore good bacteria to the gut, while prebiotics like fructooligosaccharides provide a food source so they can flourish. Giving your pet a combo of pre- and probiotics can help quickly restore balance after an upset.

Digestive Supplements

NaturVet Digestive Enzyme supplements contain a mix of essential digestive enzymes, prebiotics and bacillus coagulans probiotics to encourage gut balance, good digestion and overall GI health. They’re vet formulated and recommended for food transitioning, sensitive stomachs, flatulence and when recovering from illness.

Advanced Digestive Supplements

NatureVet Advanced Probiotics and Enzymes supplements contain bacillus coagulans and bacillus subtilis PB6 probiotics, which can survive the whole GI tract to promote optimal balance. Digestive enzymes in the formula help break down food for better digestion, too. They are ideal for pets with more severe imbalances resulting from illness, antibiotics, deworming, diet change, or other stressors.

Kitty wouldn’t eat

My kitty was having terrible gas and I was hoping a probiotic would help. He’s not a picky cat at all so I hoped he wouldn’t mind these. Unfortunately he thought they were play things when I offered as treats and so next day when I crumbled them up in wet food that he usually eats, he wouldn’t eat it cause these were in there. He ate plain wet food later. Sad cause I have a full tub and am about out of ideas on how to convince him to eat these

Works great for my cat with digestive problems

My cat has been having random episodes of diarrhea for about a year now. The vet couldn't pin point why so after switching her food around, I bought these on a whim just to see what they would do. They were the only thing that actually worked for her and keeps her from having more ongoing stomach problems. For all the bad reviews saying their cat didn't like them: try mixing them with a wet food or a puree treat. I crush mine with a spoon (they fall apart into a grainy dust pretty easily) and then I mix it in the puree. Works every time.

These chews are great for senior kitties

My poor 14 year old Jasmine has a very overactive thyroid and was sick for months. From numerous trips to the emergency vet to different medications. Poor girl has been having very soft stools and getting sick to her tummy. I just want to say, she LOVES these treats. She tore right through them. I was beyond tickled pink! She's very very picky as it is, so trying to find the right food or anything for her. It can be beyond frustrating. It makes my heart full to see her doing so much better.

Works pretty good

My cat seems to have stomach issues at times and constipation and I give one to him and he will eat this but at his own time. It is not like the treats that he will eat anytime but he does eat this and it has helped him.

My cat LOVES them!

I haven’t had these long enough to say anything about their effectiveness but I can say that my cat LOVES these chews! They’re not kidding when they say not to leave the container open because the cat will want to eat them all! :)

Works for us

I've tried a few different products, and this is the one that works for my cat. I notice that most of the 1 star reviews are because the cat wouldn't eat the product. I break it up over her dry food, and she eats it with no problems. It definitely helps to keep her regular. She has a history of constipation, but has done well since getting these daily. We have been using them for about 4 months.

Very happy

My cat always had soft stool. No more soft stool. I had to crumble it in his food. But it works.

Perfect for chronic diarrhea

We have an ancient guy with very loose poop that he would often step in on his way out of his box. We used to give one of our cats fortiflora so I knew enzymes work. Stopped off at a local store on my way to the vet to ask about it, and saw these. Figured I’d try them, and boy what a difference. We only give 2 a day, crumbled in wet food and mixed up. That’s the secret, don’t put on dry food. You don’t need much, a quarter can snack. Such a difference. Thanks Naturvet!

disappointed

My vet recommended us putting our cat on a probiotic. After doing some research we thought this would be the best to go with. Unfortunately, this just made my cat worse. He got diarrhea from this. I do not recommend this to anybody, especially if that is why they are getting put on one.
