About NaturVet Vitamins and Supplements

Digestive Support for Pets

Gastrointestinal upsets can cause your best friend grief and impact his overall health, leading to loose stools and other challenges due to a disturbance in the gut flora. NaturVet Digestive and Probiotic supplements help restore microbial imbalance and promote GI health in your pet by providing the healthy digestive enzymes, gut flora-feeding prebiotics and probiotic microorganisms your pet needs.

How Digestive Enzymes Help

Digestive enzymes aid in the breakdown of food and proper absorption of nutrients for better and healthier digestion. Enzymes like alpha-amylase for starch, protease for protein, cellulase for cellulose and lipase for triglycerides play an important role in how the body breaks down and metabolizes food. Supplementing these enzymes can help make digestion easier for a challenged pet.

Prebiotics Vs. Probiotics

When a GI imbalance occurs, it usually means there are too many bad bacteria and not enough good bacteria in the gut. Probiotics like bacillus coagulans and bacillus subtilis help restore good bacteria to the gut, while prebiotics like fructooligosaccharides provide a food source so they can flourish. Giving your pet a combo of pre- and probiotics can help quickly restore balance after an upset.

Digestive Supplements

NaturVet Digestive Enzyme supplements contain a mix of essential digestive enzymes, prebiotics and bacillus coagulans probiotics to encourage gut balance, good digestion and overall GI health. They’re vet formulated and recommended for food transitioning, sensitive stomachs, flatulence and when recovering from illness.

Advanced Digestive Supplements

NatureVet Advanced Probiotics and Enzymes supplements contain bacillus coagulans and bacillus subtilis PB6 probiotics, which can survive the whole GI tract to promote optimal balance. Digestive enzymes in the formula help break down food for better digestion, too. They are ideal for pets with more severe imbalances resulting from illness, antibiotics, deworming, diet change, or other stressors.

Questions & Answers

5 Customer Questions

Are these meant to be given daily for the life of the pet? It says to give with every meal. So would a 25 pound dog get 3 a day?

Answer by ChewyApr 13, 2019
These can be given daily for the duration of your pet's life. The serving size represents the total amount of tablets for the day. This amount is split into the amount of meals your pet has per day. For example, a 25 pound dog would only get 1 tablet maximum per day. This tablet can be split between his daily meals.

What is the natural flavoring ?

Answer by ChewyJan 18, 2022
The natural flavoring is chilsonated chicken liver.

How large are the tablets?

Answer by ChewyApr 27, 2021
This 3 gram tablet is about the size of a nickel. For a small dog or cat, the NaturVet Digestive Enzymes Plus Probiotic Dog & Cat Powder Supplement or the soft chews would be a better option for product delivery.

Does this have rice or flour? Is this a grain product?

Answer by ChewySep 16, 2018
This supplment does not contain rice or flour. For a complete list of ingredients, click the “Nutritional Info” tab, next to the “Description” tab, just under the product photos.
