Is it ok to alternate between the chews and the powder? My dog weights about 20lb and I already feed him the chews but would I be able to do 1 chew daily and 1/2 teaspoon of powder with his food instead of one or the other twice daily?
Answer by • Nov 01, 2017
The tablets and chews can be used interchangeably as long as you are following the feeding instructions on each.
This is so easy, I give it straight or mixed with water & both pups seem to love it! This stopped my bully from smelling fishy all the time & helps my senior’s constipation.

Glad I tried it!
We have an English bulldog, and they are notorious for gland issues. He also had soft stools. This has taken care of both issues. Very glad I tried it.

Works really well!
I have a big English lab that was having some digestive issues and started scooting all over, I have been giving this to her for about 2 months and I have seen a huge difference! She barely scoots at all and doesn’t get the stomach aches she used to. I just sprinkle a decent amount once a day and she loves it!!

I use this to help firm up stools on a young dog, works GREAT!
This worked immediately for me and I use less than the recommended amount. I have a 160 pound dog and I use 1/2 teaspoon per meal and it makes ALL the difference to my dogs stools, from being barely formed to quite firm, but not hard. Highly recommend

So far so good
Our shepherd mix has had soft stools ever since she started taking her arthritis medication - and this really seems to be helping. Shortly after adding this to her dinner every day, we started seeing much firmer stools. (Yay for firm poops!) She hasn’t been “scooting” either, but that wasn’t a common problem with her so not really why I wanted to try this. (Previously we were using another “no scoot” product but her stools were still soft with that.) She is VERY picky and doesn’t seem to mind the flavor at all, so that’s a bonus. It’s often impossible to get her to take any type of supplement so we’re glad she doesn’t object to this.

Good price, Great product
I've incorporated this into my dogs dry kibble as part of her new diet, and it works great. Currently using 1/4 of a teaspoon per meal and it's firming up her stools without being too hard. Good price for the product!

Worked for a little bit
At first I thought this product was helping and I wasn't smelling my Lhasa's anal glands or having them expressed as frequently. Her poop was still somewhat soft (it's always been this way) and I was helping to see a difference with this powder. However, after going through multiple containers of this, she seemed to revert back to where she was before. I decided to switch to a different, more expensive powder and saw more success with that. It was worth trying this particular powder for the price, but it seemed to lose its effectiveness overtime with my dog.
