Determine the correct height for a dog food bowl by measuring your standing dog from the floor beneath the front paws up to the top of the shoulders and then subtract approximately 6 inches. Dogs should be able to eat without lowering their necks or stretching them upwards. The top of a dog food bowl at the correct height should sit level with the dog’s lower chest.

The only good thing about this is how it catches WATER. It is a terrible design if you have a wet food messy eater. The trough behind the top lip of the bowls is always a mess when food is pushed back there. We have to clean this as much as when the bowls were on the floor. Temp fix is thick waterproof tape in photo. Heading to Lowe’s to find something to fill the gap so it’s truly a neater feeder. Product review only-Chewy is great.

The way it help a lot of water

My dog is a messy drinker and we were constantly moping the floor. Towels everywhere. This holds the water in the bottom and keeps the floor dry.

Contains the mess and it looks good

Our dog likes to pick up her dog bowl and knock it over. She still picks it up but it lands on the feeder. Liquid she spills goes down inside. We got the brown one

Disappointed Cheaped Out

The plastic is much lighter and flimsy than an older one we have. The stainless bowls are super thin and cheap stainless. They also didn't fit the opening well and

The plastic is much lighter and flimsy than an older one we have. The stainless bowls are super thin and cheap stainless. They also didn't fit the opening well and moved around making a racket. They gave off a dark slime every time we hand washed these. We replaced the bowls with some that fit right.
