Yes, the Chuckit works well and is the standard. This is, just, more fun. Dogs are initially concerned with the noise, but once they realize the ball comes from it, they chase it. Can be used for 2 balls as well. This model uses standard tennis balls. Also crabapples.

I have used Nerf ball guns for years. Got the bigger one. Not once, BUT TWICE it failed to stay in cocked position and released causing not 1 BUT 2 blood blisters
