Don’t waste your money

If your dog is a chewer, do not purchase this! It literally took 2 minutes for my dog to destroy this toy. Need should stick to footballs and kids toys.

Nerf Duck toy

My boys (Collies) love this toy. However, 1st time using it, the seam split & the wing started coming off. The boys only play with this toy when I am with them. So, they did not have a chance to chew on it. When sewing it back together, I noticed it is the side that is hand stitched after stuffing. This was done very poorly. They really love this toy. I sure hope this was just a fluke & not the norm.

Cheaply made

Does not hold up. Spent a lot of money for the toy to rip within the first 3 days of our dog playing with it. The material is plastic and cheap. Had this toy previously and they must have cheapened up on the materials.

Nerf duck toy

My Aussie loves this toy. We don’t use it as a sling shot.

Poorly Constructed

Fell apart under normal use in the first two days. The slingshot style launch of this toy was fun for about 6 launches but then on the 7th draw it came apart. The knot in the rubber "band" that connected the body and head pulled through whatever it was attached to inside. It didn't break or get chewed through it just slipped right out. It was hard to capture a photo to show this defect but if you look closely you can see the knot in the body on the right side (looks like a black straw sticking out a bit) and the intact head piece on the left showing the hoke where the rubber piece should be attached inside.

I'm not sure who enjoys this more....

My 7 month old pup is still learning the concept of fetch but this is the one toy that she gets the closest to fetching with. If I hold it up like I'm going to throw it, she jumps up and prances around, ready to chase after it. She could absolutely care less about balls, frisbees, etc. But slingshot the duck? She's all over it. (Still working on the reliably bringing it back thing.). I can't speak to how durable it is, as my girl doesn't really chew her toys (bully sticks are another thing entirely). If your pup is a chewer and destroys stuffed toys, it may not be the best toy, but if not, this one is a ton of fun.

For normal chewers

If you have a normal chewer I would recommend but heavy chewers such as black lab I would not recommend. I think I underestimated my babies chewing abilities it was gone and in pieces within an hour.

Favorite toy

Our German Shepherd girl recently hurt herself catching a stick in mid air so we needed to find a soft alternative while she was heeling. This has become her new favorite and I bought 5 of them!! She loves chasing them as they fly thru the air like a real bird. It’s perfect!!! She did tear a hole into one of them and the stuffing came out but the others are still good.

Lasted less than an hour

There is a flaw in the way it was constructed. A washer connects the rubber band to the head. After a few pulls the washer pulled right through the head fabric and it was no longer usable to launch...
