It's a great crate if your dog is not an escape artist or already crate trained. Like the title says it's plastic with hollow aluminum bars, really pretty and sturdy too but this crate was no match for my horse of a dog. He bent the bars and pulled them out of the door and took the door off. This crate didn't last 1 day in my house... Crate(s) 0 - Malamute 3
My home is a very small cottage and London is a very large dog. I needed to find a solution for taking up less space with her kennel-- this option is perfect. It is a lot roomier than expected, which London and I both appreciate for her comfort. It is lovely and works very well as a TV stand in the bedroom, with plenty of space for a dog bed, food, water, and of course a giant dog!
My 29# dog who was in this crate for three hours managed to break out. Do not buy this crate. Luckily my dog wasn’t hurt but I wasted money. (Picture of my dog to show you he is a small devil of a dog. I wouldn’t of thought he could do this since he is pretty tame and gentle outside the crate)
The crate doesn’t go together well. The screws are plastic and are barely long enough to be effective. Our crate corners do not align, no matter how we fuss with it, so one screw won’t go in. I wouldn’t recommend using this for an actual dog. Stuffed animals would be fine and fun!
This item was delivered late, the door was broken, and the bars were bent. I was able to add a few screws to the door to keep it secure but still not ideal. Didn’t return it because I needed a create for my pup and didn’t have time to wait.
I’m not at home to take pictures, but this is so poorly made. The bottom can’t come out which is going to make it a pain to clean, and it came with holes poked in it, dented and scratched. A place where a screw goes in, came broke off. There’s no way this is going to hold my labradoodle and he’s CALM. No instructions either
Cage is nice however bolts are plastic . Wood is flimsy and bars are cheap. If you have a dog who doesn’t mind being crated or is small enough then this is for you but if you have a dog with containment issues then you’ll be like me . Throwing it out in 3 days .
This is a great kennel, for dogs who don’t chew or have separation anxiety. The kennel is well built, but the door is help on with a plastic piece, which is any easy escape for dogs who chew. I would recommend this to someone with a well trained dog.
I wish this would have shown up in better shape, it’s broken in two corners which prevents the screws from locking into place. We basically had to glue it together to use it since sending it back and waiting for another is not an option for us right now. It’s very wobbly and the connections are very cheap plastic. I was so excited for this too.
I purchased this crate back in September to have a nicer looking crate in my small apartment. As we assembled it was kind of flimsy and as mentioned the screws to hold it together are plastic. After a few months the hinges on the door broke off, pieces of the plastic cracked easily, the metal on the door bent and eventually my dog was able to know the door completely off. This crate worked well for a short time and the price does not justify how quickly it fell apart. Very upset that I will likely have to go back to a metal wire crate. Much sturdier and more affordable.
