Excellent for Brain Development
By kayaker on Mar 1, 2021
I bought this for my new puppy. After feeding her from a regular bowl for a week, I transition to this bowl. Puppies need mental stimulation as much as they need physical exercise. She's a smart little and growing gal and this is the best "puzzle" for her. Keeps her busy, but not frustrated, for longer than anything else. Of the hundreds of dollars I spent on toys, bed, treats, food, etc., this inexpensive bowl is the best purchase yet.

Great bowl
By SchnauzerMom on Feb 5, 2021
Our mini schnauzers were eating so fast they were getting sick. Our veterinarian recommended this bowl and we are so pleased. It significantly increased the time they spent eating kibble, and decreased the need for “clean-up” after dinner. The bowls are very well made and easy to clean. We have the blue ones and highly recommend these to slow down pets who inhale their food.

Works well for slowing pup down!
By AussieMom on Jan 24, 2021
I have a 3-month old Mini Australian Shepherd who would voraciously attack his food as if he'd hadn't eaten in days (he gets generous portions of both kibble and wet food twice daily). I'm not even sure he chewed any of it; it just got swallowed whole within a minute (or less). I purchased this Frisco Slow Feed Bowl in the hopes it would slow my pup down enough to to keep him healthy and maybe keep him feeling full longer. At first, he had a little bit of a challenge because he kept diving in, trying to jam his snout into the dish as he did previously. It was funny to watch! His snout is a little too big to get in between the ridges, but I think the bowl was designed that way. He's been eating from it for a week now and has it mastered. The bowl still is effective in forcing him to eat more slowly, but he has learned how to quicken his pace compared to when he was first introduced to the dish. I'm very happy with the purchase and highly recommend this product. … more

Frisco Bone Shaped Ridges Slow Feed Bowl(Blue)
By Furmom02 on Jan 12, 2021
I bought this bowl when my dad broke a more expensive one I had from the pet store. I got two of these and got a free one during a deal. I am happy about how durable, flat/large, and cool it is. Compared to the last expensive ones I had these are a lot better. It slows down my boys eating more than the last ones because I can spread the food over a larger area. They are also more durable so I don't feel like they will break as easily as the last one. I think they look cool too because of the beautiful color and bones. For cleaning I hand wash them because I don't have a dishwasher and they are really easy to clean too. I would recommend this product to a medium or large breed dog. BEST SLOW FEEDER EVER!!!
By mogie on Feb 15, 2021
Ended up buying this due to my pup swallowing his food as if it’s his last time eating. I absolutely love this bowl so much. It’s helped him to think and chew before swallowing causing better digestion and less time vomiting / heaving. It’s super easy to clean, and I love the cute bone pattern inside! I wish they came in multiple colors but blue is our favorite

Working as designed
By kong on Mar 3, 2021
Got this to help slow down out 5mo old puppies eating habits, and to cut down on how much gas she has. After a week of trying it out and watching her overcome her frustration with it has done its job and she has adjusted to it fine. Instead of a 2 minute meal it is now a 15-20 minute meal.

Slows down chow hounds
By Evan on Jan 9, 2021
Bought this as a present for friends who recently adopted a senior dog, Orson. They put him on a diet after he packed on some pounds, but that didn't stop him from inhaling his food in about 30 seconds and begging for more. They love the bowl and say it's really forced him to slow down his eating. He has to methodically work his way around the bowl to get the food at different angles. For this reason, they have to place it away from the wall during meal times so he has the clearance to eat. Rather than getting frustrated by the bowl, he actually seems to be engaged. He's even started leaving a few pieces behind for snacks he'll eat later! Really slows down eating
By Seema on Jan 23, 2021
I had ordered a steel bowl and I noticed my lab puppy who was 8 week old was eating them all under a minute.I had ordered thinking I might need to when he is a little bigger but started using when he was 8 weeks old? First day it took about 15 mins to finish his food and each day I see he is able to finish faster and faster, but I like the bowl so it keeps him occupied longer than a minute and he needs to work for the food. I will buy something more challenging as he grow up but this is a good buy.

Smaller than expected
By MKDean on Jan 21, 2021 Top 500 Contributor
My puppy eats a cup and a half of kibble twice a day. This filled the bowl most of the way, three cups would definitely overfill it. It was smaller than expected, the other slow feed bowls we have are much deeper. Worked ok to slow him down. I like the handles and the rubber on the bottom helps it from sliding on the floor. Picture is a cup and a half of kibble with a little water, much fuller than I expected.

Best invention for a voracious lab puppy!
By Dslick on Feb 18, 2021
I love to feed our new lab puppy with this bowl. She flips when she sees me coming with it. It makes her work for her food, buys me a few moments to do other things, and makes her slow down a little to eat. In fact, it's quite funny to watch her spin around the bowl to eat.
