Questions & Answers

Is this product NASC certified?

Answer by ChewyMar 23, 2021
The benefits don’t outweigh the requirements NASC membership as Nutramax Laboratories has a long history of manufacturing quality products based on science. They have been around for three decades without a recall. NASC membership requires that all products carry their seal. They can’t pick and choose. There would be no question they could pass the audit. Their quality standards far out perform their requirements, however, joining will not improve their products nor will it improve their image as the industry leader, they have set the standard.

Is it ok to give my cat this even though he is not showing that he has joint issues?

Joint health supplements are recommended for cats at all life stages. This supplement is suitable for cats with or without joint issues as it supports overall joint health and mobility.

I noticed my 11 year old princess was having issues jumping up onto her beds. She would hesitate and then take several attempts before actually trying to jump up. The vet felt she had arthritis and recommended getting a monthly injection. I decided to try this product. Within 10 days, I could see she was jumping much better and now, after about 6 weeks, she is having zero issues in jumping. She doesn't always want to take these treats, but knows she will get a special treat afterwards, so she hasn't missed a day. She did get four chews a day for the first five weeks and is now getting two a day.

Improved mobility

Both of our 9 year old cats seem to have increased their mobility after starting them. I do think if we didn’t have two cats, they wouldn’t eat the treats. Grizzly

Both of our 9 year old cats seem to have increased their mobility after starting them. I do think if we didn’t have two cats, they wouldn’t eat the treats. Grizzly only eats his because he sees Goji eat his. Otherwise by the way they lick their lips in confusion and disgust for 5-10 minutes afterwards, I’d assume it tastes pretty bad. Goji is over 15lbs and enjoys eating food and non food alike so he’s happy with the treats.

An easy to give "treat" that helps their joints, I'm there for sure having a very picky feline. She loves it and it definitely helps her joints as she ages. I'd recommend this to anyone whose cat needs an ease in joint discomfort. We can tell a big difference in Bonnie since we've been giving these to her daily. Highly Recommend !

Our cat seems to have an aversion to fish, as food with fish causes him to vomit. I wasn't sure how he'd do with these supplements, since it they contain fish oil, but it seemed he couldn't tolerate it. He kept licking the air, and then licking the couch, trying to get either the taste or possibly the feeling of the supplement off of his tongue. Giving him a lickable treat seemed to help, but I didn't give them to him again. If your cat doesn't have a fish intolerance I would think these would be a good option, they just unfortunately didn't work out for us.

My 16-year-old cat was limping due to her hind legs with joint pain. The vet had said the year before that it happens with them at that age. The glucosamine chews my cat loves them and she has one to two a day. After the first two days she started jumping back up on my bed again and there was a significant change in her mood. I wish I knew of this product earlier. Thank you, CHEWY!

Recently I noticed that my 9 year old cat has had trouble jumping up onto things he didn't used to have trouble with and he just seemed to be moving slower than he used to. I think hes starting to get arthritis. After his first dose it seemed to help almost instantly and after his 2nd dose he seemed alot more spry and agile.

After the first 30 days I absolutely noticed a difference in my 15 year old cat’s mobility. She’s a very healthy lady overall but her back legs don’t work like they used to. But after a month she was hopping up on chairs and tables again, and playing like a kitten. And she absolutely loves them, crying for them before dinner. Plus they’re very affordable!
