My cat, who is FIV+, has been given Imuquin for almost a year. Recently I ordered the new formula. For days, she had been acting weird about her food. She would eat it for 2 minutes and then take a break. She was also showing signs of nausea and stomach issues. After ruling out several components, I've learned it is the Imuquin causing her GI upset. It happens almost immediately after eating her food. Even as she eats she eats super slow and looks hesitant (which is unlike her since she typically scarfs down her food). I'm not sure what changed. I loved the old formula but unfortunately I'll be throwing the new one out.

I tried the Nutramax Imuquin with Beta Glucans for my elderly cat and she liked it. She takes three different medications so taking care of her immune system is important. Only time will tell if she will get better but for the few days she has been getting Nutramax Imuquin seems is doing ok. I emptied the capsule on top of her favorite wet food and mixed it. She eats it all. I think having the presentation on a capsule it’s convenient and easy to administer. Just sprinkle it on food and that’s all. I will definitely include Nutramax Imuquin on my next autoship to keep with the treatment.

I absolutely LOVED the old Imuquin. The cats ate their food well, and it did a terrific job boosting my 20-year-old cat's immune system. This new formulation, though, tastes different. The cat is not eating her food as well, so she isn't getting as much benefit. She eats the morning dish - that doesn't contain Imuquin- just fine. But regardless of which food is offered, she is eating less of the food containing this new Imuquin formulation. In the past, I would give any leftover food to the dogs to eat, but they avoid the Imuquin-containing food now. It has only been a couple of weeks, so I hope they all get used to it, but in the meantime, it is less effective for my cat because she won't eat as much of it.

Unfortunately, my kitten was unable to keep this supplement down. I tried giving it to her a few times, even trying half a capsule and a fourth. But within a few minutes, she vomited all her food up. The one time she kept it down, she acted very nauseous and kept to herself all night. Which isnt like her. This supplement just didnt work for my baby.

The first day this was offered Lucy(Siamese), refused to eat this . I left it in her bowl and removed all of her dry food. I had mixed the Imuquin in her wet food. She finally ate it that evening. And has eaten it for the past 14 days. So don’t give up if your pet doesn’t eat it at first. I feel this is helping her deal with the eye issues she has .

changed product to capsules and they are hard to deal with. you empty the contents onto the food....those contents are orange now and it stains if you have spills. due to the capsule packaging, you cannot spread it somewhat evenly if at all. i will try to find the packet packaging with the contents white....it's much easier to deal with. don't like how they changed the product.

Many people rely on lysine to boost the immunity of their feline family member however I find Immuquin to be a better well tolerated supplement. The capsules can easily be sprinkled over dry food or mixed into wet. Bottle is easy to open with a seal that also allows you remove it without a pair of pliers. Well tolerated by my cats and fosters.

Um, are you sure that these aren’t counterfeit? The original packet medication was white. These are brown. My cat loved the old med and hates the new. My cat never got sick while using the old med. Now, she’s sick. I am disappointed because these are not the same med in a different package.

I had hoped this would be beneficial in supporting one of my older cats immune system. He has a few health issues with thyroid, respiratory, and gastrointestinal. I tried several times to get him to eat it in different types of food and he wouldn't eat if it was in the food. I thought it was just him being picky but I offered it to the other 6 cats and they wouldn't touch it either. It might be beneficial if you can actually get your cat to eat it.
