it works great for pets with dry flakey skin

my vet recommended this product because my cats skin was dry, itchy, and flakey, even with a balanced diet and brushing. i was told it might take a while to see results but i saw improvements only after a week. the only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is because my cat will eat literally ANYTHING you put in front of him, but was picky about how this tasted at first mixed with his wet food... he got used to it and now he eats it no problem. would defiantly recommend

Not for picky eaters!

Be aware it's not very palatable! My cat is obsessed with food and will eat anything she can possibly find around the house. When I add this supplement to her kibble, she turns her nose and it takes her a while to finish her meal. For us this is a plus, since she usually eats way too fast, this slows her down. However if you have a kitty who is a picky eater, you may have to mix this into some really tasty wet food to disguise the taste.

Hopefully it works

I have a 5 year old cat and a kitten. My older cat is allergic to flees both inside so don't know how they still got flees. But anyway my older cat will itch and bite at herself where she will have big balls bald spots on her. So I bought this to hopefully she will eat it the kitten started to eat it so hopefully my older cat will to she walked off from it.

Worried about smell but seems odorless to me

My vet recommended this for my 15-year-old senior boy who is starting to have some issues with his kidneys. He’s new to his prescription diet so I cannot say definitively whether or not it’s making a difference however I was pleased that it didn’t have a bad smell and seemed pretty easy to hide in his wet food however he did have a hard time with the oily texture flicking his tongue and grooming excessively after I administered it

Bottles keep leaking

Not sure why this keeps happening, but every bottle I have had ends up leaking down the sides of the bottle from under the cap. I have taken the cap off numerous times and cleaned it off, then screwed the cap back on as tight as it will let me, HOPING it won’t leak again. It’ll be fine for maybe up to a week, then it does it again. Very annoying. Don’t get me wrong, this stuff has done wonders for my cat’s coat and skin. But it just has gotten to the point where I feel like I am throwing away money here.

Bottle leaked

Just arrived today and the box in comes in and the shipping box have oil all over it. Plus, the oil smells rancid. The company that makes this needs to do better. Returning.

Worthwhile supplement

This omega-3 supplement was recommended for my cat by her veterinarian. She was scratching at her ears. Nothing wrong but dry skin. Started her on this daily on her wet food as recommended. She didn’t seem to even know it was on there. It took awhile to see the results but it definitely helped her. No more ear itching, don’t see dry flakes when grooming her, and her coat feels silkier. This is her second bottle at a great price from Chewy. Will be keeping it up.

Perfect for older cats

I have a 17 year old cat that has arthritis and skin problems. After starting him in Wellactin, he started moving more freely and his coat is thicker, shinier and more healthy. I just mix it into his canned food and he eats it with no problem. I’m sold on this!

My cat is finicky and suspicious of change. I did the full dose at first and he would have none of it. So I scaled back to a few drops every other day and he’s more tolerant. I don’t notice any change but I know it’s good for him.

Seems good so far

My cat has only been taking it a little over a week so I am just glad that she will eat her food with it mixed in. She doesn't seem to notice it. I was worried b/c other reviews said their cat wouldn't eat their food. I will update as the weeks go on but , so far, I think it will work for her.
