This item provides temporary relief of pain and inflammation for medium and large dogs and can be given to dogs of life stages. It should be used to relieve minor aches and pains, chronic arthritis, hip dysplasia, reduces fever, and moderates inflammation.
What is the dosage/frequency?

It is recommended to consult your veterinarian prior to use. Give 8 - 12 mg per 1 lb of body weight every 12 hours. (Approximately 1 chewable tablet per 30 - 40 lbs of body weight every 12 hours.) This product should be given within 30 minutes after the animal has ingested an amount of food equal to 1/3 or more of its normal daily amount.
What is the difference between this aspirin and human aspirin?

Human aspirin is sold in dosages of 81 milligrams, 325 milligrams, and 500 milligrams. Aspirin made for dogs comes in 120 milligrams is sometimes flavored with beef or liver. Always speak to your veterinarian before feeding any aspirin to your dog.
Can this be crushed up and mixed with food? My dog won’t eat them

Really works

Our Husky has really bad knees and the vet put her on Carprofen but just doesn’t seem to be enough. The addition of this aspirin product seems to have really boosted her pain relief. There was an obvious change in how she moved. I wouldn’t use it for long term care but it’s been good for the waiting period to get into see the doctor.

Nutri-vet Aspirin

This stuff works wonders for my dog. He's a bullmastiff/cane corso mix, 165lbs. He's almost 8 and has a hard time moving around. I have been giving him 3 of these with his morning meal and he has had so much more energy lately to move around and doesn't seem to be in much pain anymore.

Dog doesn't like the taste

It seems to work when my dog actually eats it, however she doesn't seem to like that taste so not actually a chewable for her.

Relief for Murphy

Our 8-year old dog, Murphy partially tore his CCL and has been rehabbing for months as it is a very slow process. These aspirins have been nothing short of a miracle in that he is feeling far more energized since the pain is somewhat relieved. We give him one a day in the morning and that seems to be all that is needed for now. I highly recommend them.

Better than prescription medicine

My 9 year old dog is showing signs of age. He limps after activities. Gave him Carprofen with little results. These aspirins work so much better and he does not fight me to take them. He likes the liver flavor.

I was hoping the liver flavor would fool my dog into taking the medication readily.....not so much....have to hide it in treats, and even then the dog managed to discard the medication oftentimes.....may be further ahead with baby aspirin in peanut butter.

Why all the yellow & blue dyes in this???

Disappointed that there are so many food dyes yellow & blue added to an aspirin dog pain reliever... We want to keep them healthy & pain free...but this has so many additives that are unnecessary....

Dosage confusing

The label on the bottle says 5mg per 1 lb of body weight. In FAQ it says 8-12mg per 1lb of body weight. I researched and 5-10mg/pound seems right. Maybe the 5 mg/lb on the bottle label is for using on daily basis. It actually says that it’s for temporary relief of pain and inflammation associated with arthritis and joint problems. I needed aspirin for my dog being in pain after she cut her paw. It helped her pain. The picture of the tablet on the bottle shows you can split it but the tablets don’t have any mark on them for splitting. The tablets are supposed to be chewable but they are very hard. Not a liver treat either. I had to wrap it in cheese. The bottle is too big for the amount of the pills in it. Wasting material on the package and taking more space in my dog medicine cabinet than necessary. I’m surprised that there aren’t more choices on Chewy site for dogs aspirins. I would prefer buffered ones and not worry about taking it with food to prevent upset stomach. Sometimes you want to give her a pain relief pill right away, not to complicate the situation with food( example being on a hike).
