Nutro sources their ingredients from trusted farmers and suppliers, prepared only in trusted facilities, and rigorously tested for quality and safety. They travel the world to locate and source the quality ingredients used in our recipes. Nutro works with chickpea farmers in Canada and North Dakota, sugar beet farmers in Chile, Europe and other parts of South America, pea and lentil farmers in North Dakota, rice farmers in Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and California, lamb farmers in Australia and New Zealand and many others around the world to source their high-quality ingredients.
How many cups are in the 14lb bag?

There are approximately 12 cups of kibble in the 3-pound bag, 20 cups of kibble in the 5-pound bag, and 56 cups of kibble in the 14-pound bag.
Can this food be used for cats and kittens? I have different aged pets and can't keep them out of each others food!

Bags are getting smaller

and prices are getting higher and higher. going from $50 a bag to over $70 Is a huve jump. You may be donating money to rescues but by increasing prices so drastically even more are becoming homeless. Because people can no longer afford their furrr babies.

Great food

I have been feeding this for several years. I have 14 cats and do rescue, so I have a wide variety of "subjects" to study. It has gone up quite a bit in price (as has everything), so I am mixing it with Purina One True instinct. Every cat is doing great.

Good food

I use this for my indoor cat but the 14 lb bag doesn’t have a seal or zip loc closure. So I will go back to buying smaller bags.

excellent product

honestly, no idea what i'm doing when it comes to my cats, but I did want to find something that had clean-ish ingredients and wasn't too pricey. my cat liked it a lot. then i got another kitten, and he started eating it when he got old enough. so they both like it. personally, no idea what it tastes like, but they always go crazy every time i feed them, even though its the same food, over and over, day after day. also the customer service is *supreme* i had a small delivery issue b/c I was moving, and the guy on the phone picked up first ring, and then wrote me a hand-written letter wishing me and my cats the best of luck in our move and that he was happy to help us. literally the cutest thing ever. ily brian in customer service

Large, hard pieces of food

I have been feeding this food to my cats for about 3 years now. They all love it and it seems to be a decent dry food. The issue I’ve been having recently is the large, extremely hard pieces of meshed together kibble that are abundant within the bags. These have been in the past 3 to 4 bags and it’s frustrating. My over zealous cat has attempted to eat these giant conglomerations of food multiple times and nearly choked. I am now wary of what is going into their bowls. I will be switching foods after I am through what I have purchased.

Cats LOVE this

All 4 of my cats love this food. They are picking out the food that its mixed with during the transition from another brand (the colored bison brand). I know its high quality but am glad they enjoy the taste.

Price is outrageous

I am really upset that the price has increased by $10 are you for real? This is not Accana or ORIJEN cat food which is worth the price. It’s made with OK ingredients and I use it as a filler mixed with better quality foods. I do not know what warrants this? Ingredients are not any better. Not only that you have been increasing it continuously! It used to cost half this price less than 10 years ago! Shame on you for this outrageous price gouging!
