This Chill & Chew Freezer dog toy doesn't arrive prefilled and are not considered edible. You'll be able to fill the toy with water or your dog's favorite spreadable snack before popping it in the freezer for a long-lasting treat that stays chilly through long chew sessions.

This is a great, food grade product. It comes in conveniently sized servings which will defrost in a reasonable time. However, it is expensive and I find that it is cheaper to prepare a high quality dinner myself and just use these for pet sitters or in a time crunch. Although I don't know what another packaging option would be, these create a LOT of plastic waste that will be around for hundreds of years. Perhaps they could be in vacuum packed pouches.

Size. Too large, my mistake. Also water not contained

It is a chewable toy but I cannot put water in it to freeze. Once my pup starts chewing on it the ice melts and is not contained in any way, resulting in a wet mess

I had high hopes that this would help my boys' acute teething pain. The main problem: it wasn't 'tasty' to either pup, and it didn't stay cold for long enough (~15

I had high hopes that this would help my boys' acute teething pain. The main problem: it wasn't 'tasty' to either pup, and it didn't stay cold for long enough (~15 mins). I would recommend beef tendons for acute teething pain in puppies. Worked best, they were attracted to it more, and no drama continuously washing & freezing. Not worth the effort.
