Bought this as a chew toy for my 9 month old puppy and she was able to chew it into pieces within minutes. I had to hurry and get them away from her before she ate the entire toy which I’m sure would have ended with an expensive trip to the vet. So glad I didn’t give this to her and go away somewhere.
Our vet recommended chew toys that we can actually push our fingernail into for our puppy as not to damage to her teeth. This is a little harder than what I anticipated. Our chihuahua puppy wasn't really interested in it in the beginning. She has started to chew a little bit on it now. I don't smell anything on it when I sniff it.
I ordered a number of chew toys when I purchased this one, but this one did not hold up well with a 5-month old lab, although she's an aggressive chewer, so there's that. Probably totally fine for a smaller breed dog.
My yellow lab loved this chew toy so much when he was a puppy, especially when he was teething, but even before that. He preferred chewing it over any other teething toy I bought him. He had an insane teething stage, but he never broke a single piece off of this toy. It's hard with just enough give that it's gentle on puppy gums. I've recommended this toy to new puppy moms and dads many times with great success. I've seen other reviews complaining about this toy breaking apart, and all I can say is make sure to monitor your puppy while he's chewing. For many puppies, once their adult teeth start coming in, it's only a matter of time before you have to retire this chew toy!
I have a very tough chewer he is currently 7 months and got this toy at just over 2 months old. It hasn’t broken and it’s amazing quality for him. Nearly all of his other toys have been chewed to pieces but this one has survived! I definitely recommend if you have a teething puppy!
This toy did not stand up to my 4 month old Pyrenees puppy. He did love the taste and the shape. He chewed it to bits the first day. To be fair he did have some help from his older brother and sister. It would probably be ok for smaller less powerful breeds.
My puppy loves this toy. He is teething so he needs safe things to chew on. Luckily, this bone can take it. Im so glad I purchased.
He loves this. He is only 8 lbs and the pink pacifier is too big to put in his mouth he chews on each of the parts and carries it around like a toy.
My puppy loves to carry these around by the ring! They are the perfect distraction from chewing on other things!
Our puppy Ainslie is teething, and this toy helped her Westie floppy ears stand straight up! She loves this toy, and so do we!
