Is there a better kitty scoop to us the pellets are to large to filter through my kitty scoops

Answer by HollyJul 06, 2022
The scooper called the Litter Lifter works really great!

Do y’all sell a special scoop for your litter?

Answer by ChewySep 15, 2018
This product does not require a specific type of litter scoop.

Is this dust free? How do these pellets track? They look huge?

Answer by ChewyApr 16, 2018
This litter is 99.9% dust free with little to no tracking.

What pound box will fill up a larger covered litter box? How regularly do you need to add more litter? Trying to determine how many boxes/pounds of litter will be needed per month for 2 cats in one litter box. Thanks.

Answer by ChewyAug 01, 2019
It is recommended to pour ökocat litter into a clean litter box to the depth of 2-3 inches. Scooping waste daily and refilling as needed to maintain the desired depth, the base litter will last 4-6 weeks.

LOVE this litter more than 2 complaints

I think I started to buy this about seven years ago and it’s been a game changer instead of the clay market sand and the dust and the smell of all of it. OKOCAT

I think I started to buy this about seven years ago and it’s been a game changer instead of the clay market sand and the dust and the smell of all of it. OKOCAT is very expensive litter and I would recommend buying the larger pellets instead of smaller softer grains if you want less mess . I don’t have the smell or the dust. I’m not embarrassed having people over because it doesn’t smell like cat litter constantly so again it’s very all over your floor, but if you don’t mind, then you don’t mind. The only thing is thatit is very expensive and with the bigger green pellets often times you you lose a lot of of the good ones when you are cleaning out the litter box meaning the ones that could still be Used hope that makes sense. but for me with not having that smell and not having the little sand pieces and dust all over it it’s worth it.

Simon is unaffected by any type of litter I put down for him. I don't want to walk in it, smell it or sneeze around it! This litter is virtually dust free, little tracking and doesn't smell! The down side is I'm using much more of it as the wood pellets are quite large and Simon pees a lot! I'm using almost a bag about every 10 days. Not to mention the litter genie is filled up much faster. That is all fine except for the price!! The cost of the litter is painfully expensive expecially with the high costs of everything else!

We've been using this litter for a couple of years. I love the fresh natural smell and it doesn't aggravate my allergies or chemical sensitivities. It is a low dust litter and much easier to clean up when it tracks out of the litter box than smaller litter. I also like that it is flushable. It clumps fairly well for urine although the clumps will fall apart if you don't scoop carefully. Sometimes. One thing I would really like the company to improve is to offer a litter scoop especially made for this litter because it takes quite a while to scoop with a regular litter scoop and not waste a bunch of litter due to the pieces being so large.

I bought this per my daughter’s instructions; she’s tried several different cat litters for her cat. The first time she came to visit with the cat I bought some random brand that was tracked all over! She told me to buy this for second visit and it was amazingly neat; did not get tracked around and was contained within the cat’s box! Highly recommend.

This is low tracking. Of course some falls out next to the box. But very little makes it throughout the rest of the house. And what does can be picked up easily. Not much of a smell either which is a relief. My cat took a few days to adjust to this. Thankfully he's accepted it now. Don't know what I would have done with 17.5 lbs of it.

hoping to minimize the amount of litter getting around the room and having easier box clean up. Using the non clumping pine already. This clumps adequately, made cleaning easier with less dust and did decrease the litter tracking but stuck on cats feet and hair, had to wipe/comb it off of her. I became concerned about her licking this up even tho the product says its safe. Will stick with the old stuff

This is the first litter I’ve used that truly doesn’t smell. It lasts me longer than any other litter. I used to have clean the entire litter box weekly because of ordor, so I’m very happy that I don’t have to do that anymore. The “clumps” aren’t the easiest to remove and you will need a scoop with large enough holes to allow the pellets to fall through. It’s relatively low tracking. I also like that it’s more natural. My cat is not that picky about litter and I didn’t even bother with transitioning her. I just switched and she was fine with it.

Better in the smaller package

I've been purchasing this litter for my two cats for a few years. It is generally pretty good, albeit more expensive than the clay type I used to get. This stuff tracks less and produces less dust, but the scooping is more of a pain. It's easy to get out the clumps you want to remove, but hard to avoid everything else. I end up throwing out unused portions of the litter. I also need to regularly use the scooper like a sieve to throw out the obliterated portion that is no longer in pellet form. This is all fine, just less convenient than clay. My most recent order was for the larger 27.5-lb size bag, which comes in a large plastic bag rather than the heavy paper material that the next size down (I want to say 21.5-lb size) comes in. I won't be ordering this size again. Rather than receiving a bag of mostly intact pellets, I received a bag that is seemingly half pellets and half obliterated bits of pellets. I've thrown out a lot of it before even pouring it into the litter box. The low-tracking element of the litter only works if it's still in pellet form. Once it's broken into a bunch of small pieces, many of the benefits of this litter disappear. One of my cats is very sensitive about having any litter on his feet, and he seems to hate the little pieces of pellets as much as he hated clay bits. Long story short-- the larger bag might be a better bargain on paper and end up being a waste because so much of it isn't of usable quality. Stick with the next size down.

too much dust/ sand of ground up pellets at the end of the bag

yeah so this litter works well but i dread finishing the bag every time because i know im gonna get like a mountain of litter sand and a lot of dust. every time

yeah so this litter works well but i dread finishing the bag every time because i know im gonna get like a mountain of litter sand and a lot of dust. every time this happens, i consider changing litter brands, but then i get tired doing research looking for a better one than this and so i just stick with this one. but hopefully one day my prayers will be answered and this will no longer be an issue. - the cat nanny.
