I purchased these bag to pick up a small doggies poop. The first bag ripped due to the stickers on them. However, it was not just the first bag but more than half of them using the first roll have ripped. Additionally, I attempted to contract the manufacture by the phone number on the package and it did not lead to the company who made them. Waist of money
I love that it is great for the environment but when I go to grab a bag, it no longer becomes a bag. I have to either use it like a tissue to pick up the poo or tie the end. This last bag is what’s making me write this review. How - in what world - how am I supposed to pick up poo with this?! Really wish I never wasted my money on these bags, in full honesty.
It doesn't take two hands to open these bags--the open end parts on its own. Also, unlike other reviews, I've found them to be as reliable as any other: they snap apart easily and cleanly and are sturdy enough to do their job. Compostability is a real plus for me; the less new plastic, the better.
These bags ripped every time. They were so flimsy that tearing them from the roll caused a rip in the bottom of the next bag. Unusable. do not buy these.
Love that these are certified compostable and they give back to the Jane Goodall institute. The bags are great quality, thick, and have endangered animals printed on them. They even have a perforated sticker on them so you don't tear the first bag!
These bags work great for me. Once poop is in and tied off no odors emitted
Very poor quality and rips easily. Would never purchase again
Hold up well but are still compostable so they will not last forever in the landfill. Thanks.
I was skeptical about buying these because of the reviews. However, they do work, you just have to be gentle when opening them. I've been using them since April. I'm glad I now have a wastebag that doesn't take more than 1 year to decompose. I don't suggest these for those who regularly have really long nails.
Spent hours reading reviews of compostable bags and settled on trying this brand and UNNI Compostable bags for a direct comparison. This brand (The Original Poop Bags) lost compared to the UNNI ones. The Original ones often teared/shredded at the bottom, even when I was very careful. However, they were VERY easy to open compared to all other bags I've tried (including plastic ones). Overall, for the price, I would not purchase these again when I can get UNNI (better) bags for cheaper. Also, please remember that compostable bags are NOT composted unless properly disposed of in a composting environment. I personally am not composting them, but I'd rather it take hundreds of years to degrade and turn into plant matter than take more hundreds of years to degrade into microplastics.
