Great food

I bought this food for my Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, & Siberian husky. My pyrenees and shepherd love the food but my picky husky refused ALL of Orijen food and will only eat Purina Pro Plan original chicken dry food. However, my pyrenees and shepherd are the two who have had surgery on their leg (TPLO) and cannot run like they used to. I follow the feeding instructions for their weight and they have both lost some extra lbs! I am very happy with this food! Might not be best for picky huskies but overall it is very healthy and will help your pup lose weight. I tried the fancy prescription weight loss diets the vet recommended and those didn't work as well as Orijen fit & trim!

Smelly food, smelly farts and smelly breath

I was recommended this brand of food from a lot of online sources. I’ve heard that this brand uses some of the best ingredients so I wanted to give my dog one of the best dry foods. While my dog loves the taste of the food, I don’t think it sits well with him. His stool is good, he was transitioned on it properly, however his gas is horrendous. On top of that this food has made his breath smell so awful. The kibble itself has a very strong smell so it explains the bad breath. I have noticed him looking leaner on this food, however I don’t think I will be purchasing this kind again.

DOG LIKES IT

My dog had no problems adjusting to this food. She seems to like it. Too early to say if it has helped with weight loss. Pricey but if helps ok.

Feeding a 9 yr old female and a 4 yr old male rott

It got to where I couldn't get livers and chicken gizzards and my male got to where he wouldn't eat his veggies so I decided to try the fit and trim and both love it we r on WK 2 and I throw in a handful of gizzards as I have them again and sent my vet the list of ingredients and he was super impressed told me it would be a outstanding food for both till I could afford to get a bag of senior food there poops r better than when they were on the raw diet

Not for every dog.

This food, although its ingredients look like superfood, was not good for my dog. He had loose stools and abdominal cramping from it. Switched him to Blue Buffalo and his stools firmed up and back to normal.

NEW to our girl

Switching from Prescription Science Hill dry dog food, (14%) protein..to Orijen Fit and Trim 43% protein..that's a BIG deal folks! My girl Shelly Bean has been consuming the SH prescribed by her vet for just over a year now..and has lost 8 lbs. I just can't continue this..just out of good conscience..basically the first ingredient is wheat flour. Yes, wheat flour..I mean, do they understand that flour SPIKES insulin..which sets off a whole host of other physical problems? But, hey, she's losing weight right? So, out of concern for her health, not just her weight, I switched. I love the ingredient list in this Origen, AND, that my girl is not consuming wood pulp fibers to help her to be 'full'. Breaking down what we were previously giving her, with her added chicken and veggies..we are doing a calorie comparison to help her maintain that loss. It's working!!! She LOVES her food, and I, as her mama, know that she is getting better nutrients, better FOOD, to maintain her health in her later years.

Puppy says No

Andy refuses to eat this. I had high hopes my 11 month schnauzer could transition easily to this food, but he only sniffs it and walks away. It doesn’t have an appetizing Oder so I can’t blame him. It’s way too expensive to buy if he’s only going to eat a couple bites and then I have to toss the bowl out. I know he’s picky but there has to be one food he will like, hopefully.
