Our guinea pigs ate out of this for a bit, but the lid doesn't really fit... so they eventually stand on back legs to eat out of the top. Good idea, but just ok.
This is a nice size for Guinea pigs. It was a little tricky to put together and once it was, I was tempted to glue it together but I like the idea I can store it flat.
Monsters adore tearing off the lid, spreading the hay everywhere and flipping the building all over place. I consider this a win as they get a ton of exercise and I get my boring day broken by cleaning up after them. a bit of sarcasm on that last part.
I got this as a little birthday present for my guinea pigs, and all three of them absolutely loved it. On the second day of having it in their cage, it completely collapse and fell apart. I tried to put it together, but a few hours later it collapsed again. I kept on rebuilding it, but it would not stand for more than an hour or two. Really frustrating, especially because the piggies liked it so much.
So I have 2 and they love sleeping in there and having food around!
My pigs love tunnels and hay, so I thought this would be a perfect match for them. However, they don't eat the hay out of it, and it has a tendency to fall apart. It was fun to watch them explore it at first, but now they just ignore it and occasionally take it apart.
I was worried from some reviews that this might be too small, but it is the perfect size for our Guinea pigs. The lid is a little hard to get back in when the rack is full, but we’ve found it works just as well to leave it off. It holds a ton of hay and the piggies all love it. I’m ordering a second!
Bunny tore up her last cardboard house so I thought I’d try this wooden one and she seriously loves it! She is pretty small and likes tight spaces so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have a dwarf like mine.
I was super excited when I ordered this for my guy (rabbit). When assembling the package noticed some pieces were broken on the top lid and this item is so small that I wouldn't suggest it for any rabbit size. My hotot is a dwarf and he doesnt even fit through the openings. I wish this came in a bigger size. It would've been perfect.
It's ok if your pet never moves their hide outs, when the pet moves it around it can come apart too easily. If your pet doesn't move it around it's fine.
