    My herd loved it!

By Hayhay on Apr 11, 2020

Couldn’t get oxbow essentials for my picky chins and substituted the garden select. The herd loved it. Chewy also suggested rabbit essentials as a temp option until the chin stuff is back in stock. My guys liked that as well.

    Revival of my chin

By TheBoy on Jun 10, 2019

Hi everyone! I wanted to say I rescued a boy chin a couple years ago. He was very picky with food unlike my little chloe. He was always skinny n weak but lovable. I was only feeding him food like kaytee because it had treats. One day he got really sick the poop was always small.. I tried everything nothing.. I ran into the name of this food and chewy with their one day shipping saved my baby.. I must say with only 2 months of eating this food he had gained double the strength and weight!! His poo is so big and healthy lol he absolutely loves this food. Highly recommend it! Now my chloe on the other hand she wants treats with the food lol if you have a picky chin try this food! A++++

    Low calcium percentage

By irenemcbean on Sep 14, 2018

The only food I can find for my girls that has the lowest calcium percentage! One of my babies calcium was sky rocketed because of the garbage food I was feeding her before. I'm happy with this food so far.

By izzy on Mar 18, 2018

    Look at nutrition people

    By AEY4chins on Nov 29, 2017

So you should ignore the reviews that tell you not to buy this food. If you look at the veterinary research that has been done about chinchilla diet they recommend against alfalfa because of it's high calcium to phosphate ratio (which is the first ingredient in the other oxbow chin food) but the recommended timothy grass is first in this plus it has other recommended grasses. Chins can eat veggies and fruits in small amounts as they eat cactus fruits in the wild. As is advised, raw Timothy hay as roughage should be the majority of the diet and only a very small amount pellets anyway. This has much better first ingredients. I am opting for this for my chins.
