Can you place a heat lamp on top of the wire without it causing problems?

We do not recommend placing a heat lamp directly on top of the wire of the PawHut Wooden Indoor/Outdoor Tortoise Habitat. For safety reasons, doing so could pose a risk, as the wire top is not designed to support heat-emitting devices or sustained high temperatures.

How wide is the little opening on the inside?

This habitat has an inner door opening that measures 6.25" W x 6.25" H. This opening connects the two interior sections of the habitat, allowing your tortoise to move between the main house area and the run cage area.

Does this have glass windows or acrylic windows?

The windows are made of clear acrylic panels. These panels provide good visibility of the pet inside while still offering protection from the elements.

I have used this pawhut as a current outdoor habitat for my lovley Tortoise. Great build and he seems to be loving his new space. Also have other pawhuts that my other turtles have been homed in and have been a great product would recommend for a safe place for a turtle. I enjoy these products and will continue to when I need for my pets.

Have two connected for our redfoot

We love these! We actually have 2 connected together to make a bigger tank for our juvenile redfoot tortoise. They are pretty easy to put together and has even survived
