Paw Width: Using our Pawprint-able Sizing Guide, place your pet's paw on the diagram and mark the widest points at the left and right side of the paw. This area is usually near the base of the toes.
-
Paw Length: With you pet's paw still in position, mark the longest points at the front and back of the paw; remember your pet's nails will need to fit too.

Good idea, but poorly designed
By JillieMom on Mar 31, 2021
I purchased these boots in the hope of protecting Jillie's feet while we were up in the snowy hills. Since they were rubber, I thought they would keep her from slipping in addition to keeping her feet dry. So this is how our trial run at home went... As another reviewer mentioned, the boots are basically made like a thick balloon. We tried putting a SINGLE dog boot on her front paw multiple times, even employing a licky mat to distract her. I pulled the elastic of the boot wide open so we could slip her foot in more easily and my daughter held her foot still. (It's definitely not a 1-person task!) Once on, I realized that the small opening was way too tight and constricting, even for her I purchased these boots in the hope of protecting Jillie's feet while we were up in the snowy hills. Once on, I realized that the small opening was way too tight and constricting, even for her skinny legs. Her front paws (ankles, if you will) are 3" in diameter and the opening on the balloon, although its elastic expands a little, is only 2 1/2". (Two of my fingers is about the same diameter, so I tried a boot to see how tight it would feel. Not comfy!) We tried putting the boot on her hind paw, and it was wasn't as much of a struggle as putting it on the front. However, since her hind ankle is the same diameter, the balloon was still too tight a fit. … more

What boots?
By Laurijay on Apr 2, 2021
I bought these 6 years ago when I saw my dog trying to balance while also trying to lift a frozen paw off the ground. It takes only moments to get them on and popping them off is even faster. Since she can still feel the ground under the rubber she doesn't even seem to notice she is wearing them and trots around totally as normal. My original pack of 12 is now down to 7. A couple ripped because I let them dry together, so separate them when drying & she lost a couple when they popped off in deep snow. They also prevent ice balls forming in the pads between her toes. I would buy these again tomorrow.

Pawz Waterproof boots
By KimG on Mar 31, 2021
We started using these all through the winter. We have 2 yorkies now and they are 11 months apart in age with our youngest under 6 months old. These are fantastic over socks and keep them warm, clean, and dry. They are reusable and they are still disposable. I already bought enough for the coming year for our dogs and we bought extra socks for warmth in winter. I learned that dogs lose most of their body heat in the paws, unlike people that lose their body heat from their heads. Our dogs hate regular dog shoes, but both quickly got used to wearing these flexible Pawz! I think every dog deserves to have comfort.

Actually works
By Jaimalu on Mar 13, 2021
My backyard gets muddy in spots when it rains and my pit always has to find those spots when I let her out. It is annoying trying to get the mud from between her toes so I thought I would give these dog boots a try. I was concerned about the ease of putting them on after reading the reviews but I didn't have any issues. The boots are balloon-like but they go on and stay on until I take them off. But they arent so tight that they hurt her. They were easy enough to take off as well. I left the first pair on her for about 15 minutes before I let her out so she could get used to the feel. She didn't really like them being on but she didn't walk weirdly or hold her leg differently when walking as My backyard gets muddy in spots when it rains and my pit always has to find those spots when I let her out. She was able to go out with no issues and they were so much easier to wipe off! As long as I take them off shortly after coming back in the house she is fine. I tried leaving them on her for the day so she didn't have to wait for me to put them on when she wanted to go out but she chewed a hole in one of them so I don't do that anymore. … more

booties, booties, booties, rockin’ everywhere!
By Anya on Mar 18, 2021
I love these booties! I originally had a pair for my beagles who all passed away, but now that I have my big baby I wanted to get a pair that fit her. She already has hiking/snow booties, so these particular ones are just for the house/spa days. I usually put on Paw Soother and Pawtection Balm and put these booties on her so she doesn’t lick it off. The results of soft and supple paws after only 20 minutes are definitely worth the hassle. Measured accordingly and they fit perfect! 10/10 would recommend

It's alright
By Hello on Mar 30, 2021
It's definitely balloons but rounder for dogs. I read the reviews after I bought it (shouldn't have done that) most people says that it cuts of circulation off of their paws. So I cut the top part where it's very tight and it hasn't fall off of my puppy's paw. Would i buy it again? Not really.

My dog likes these over all other expensive doggie boots.
By Suesue on Feb 23, 2021
My dog walks very normal in these and these are the only ones. I have more expensive boots for her but she will not walk in them. These can be a little hassle getting them on but they stay on until you remove them. I think its because the balloon shape has plenty of space for her paws . I have a 16 pound lasapoo and the Xtra small fits her fine.

Effective and affordable dog boots
By amstaffmama on Mar 8, 2021
These are effective and affordable dog boots. Clearly, they are difficult to put on and take time, but worth the price for how many you get. They don't come off and aren't slippery on my dog. Recommended, and just have patience. I got large, purple for my 50 lb staffy.

Great for Cold Days
By 88Carlita on Feb 15, 2021
Our Husky-Heeler mix loved these. We live in Colorado. She enjoyed cold weather but her paws would always get 'ouchie' walking on snow or on sidewalks. She was foot-shy and so didn't enjoy having these put on, but tolerated it because she was so much more comfortable once she was wearing them.

Works as desired
By Tasia on Jan 4, 2021
These work great if you get the right size (use the chart). They very rarely slip off in the rain or snow, and they're easier to put on than boots. All those people who are having trouble are either choosing the wrong size or doing it wrong (and getting easily frustrated). The trick, if you can call it that, is facing the correct direction while you're putting them on: You and your dog should be face to face for the front ones, but you should sit behind your dog for the back ones, kicking the back legs toward you. I have a mini schnauzer who hates clothing and an Airedale who loves clothing. Both have short or long hair depending on the season, and both have been wearing these rubber-balloon These work great if you get the right size (use the chart). In fact, when our Airedale gets a hotspot and wants to scratch, we put one on her back foot until her urge to scratch dissipates. You can't leave these on for hours at a time or they'll reduce circulation and cause issues, but that's not what these are intended for anyway. For walks in the snow, ice, and rain and on hot pavement or sand, these work perfectly. … more
