I've used these for years and have never had a problem with them. They are awesome. I have seen a lot of reviews that say it doesn't show any reading. My thoughts are your water temps are either too low or too high when you were trying to use these strips. You can test it against a floating thermometer initially to get the right range if this has been your experience. Your temps may be just out of range of the strip.
I love the size of these they work great I have bought 6 of them so far and they all work great there small and effective for sure !
I initially bought this as a back up for another stick on thermometer. It's a great size for smaller tanks and it's easy to read
Just what I needed for a small tank. Lets me know if I need to go up or down
Did not work for me. No big deal my heaters have huge temp readouts and not needed. I never did get a temperature reading
Doesn’t work like I thought it would. Is hard to comprehend. Will not buy another or anything like this one.
My fish kept breaking my glass thermometer on the inside of my tank. This thermometer works great and I don't have to worry about my fish breaking glass in their tank.
I don’t know why there’s so many negative reviews about this thermometer. I’ve used them for years with the oldest still in use being 8 years old. I have 6 tanks. 120 gallon, 55 gallon, 30 gallon, 20 gallon, 10 gallon and a 5 gallon. I have an expensive salt meter that also reads temperature and have checked the readings with this little stick on thermometer. When the stick on reads 79, the meter reads 80. Close enough that I’ll know if a problem arises with my heaters. I find the glass thermometers annoying, hard to read and not something I want in my tank with my 9 inch Tin Foil Barb. I’ve ordered a few more for my newest tanks.
I have the thermometer on the tank and it still has not registered the temp of the water. I do not recommend
