    Not worth it

    By on

Don't reccomend this. I like that it indicates when the temp is okay, BUT it says on the box it is supposed to be automatically set at 78°F. Yet I have a thermometer in the tank that is reading 69°F.. Says it works for 10-30 gallon tanks... There's no way my fish will thrive in my tank with this heater.

Chewy is a great Place for pet products

    By on

Not sure how well it’s working, temperature drops well into the mid 60 s before turning on. And heats to just 72 degrees. This aquarium is only 10 gallons.

    DO NOT BUY

    By on

Overheated my 16 gallon tank and cooked all my fish :( does not properly self regulate. Chewy kindly refunded my money, but I want to warn all other fish parents — this is a death sentence for your fish.

    Works well

    By on

As soon as the water reaches a cold temperature the LED light turns red and the heater comes on bringing the water to a comfortable temperature for my turtles. Once the water temperature is good the LED light turns back green.

    It doesn’t work

    By on

The temp in the tank went to 90 degrees. The heater light was still on and the heater was too hot to touch. Thank goodness I was just setting up the tank and there were no fish in it!

    Fish tank heater

Much nicer than the old glass tube heaters. No checking temperature, it is preset. No adjustment needed.

Product is not as described but not chewy’s fault it’s the manufacturer’s fault..Product does not heat up like it’s suppose to and doesn’t hold temp to 78 degrees...Called chewy and they issued me a refund right away.

Perfect for 20+ gallons, too hot for 10 gallons

    By on

Works perfectly for our 20 gallon tank, keeps the temperature at about 79. I put it in our 10 gallon tank and it had the water at 90 degrees.

    Perfect for 20gal tank

    By on

This heater works perfectly for a 20 gal tank. All the lights work letting me know when it’s at temp. Or when it’s running. It is a perfect size so it doesn’t look ugly. I’m very happy with it!
