Motivated by Food

When we rescued our dog 4 years ago he was overweight and did not want to take walks. We used his food motivation to train him into walking 1.7 miles daily. These treats are perfect. Small enough to carry in a treat pouch and low in calories. He thinks he’s getting treats all the time.

Great training aids!

We had a dog trainer come by to help us with our 2-year-old German Shepherd, Dixie. She would cower in the corner when we called her, and when we went outside with her she would not come back if we didn't use a harness and leash with her. We live on 4.36 acres, and we really wanted her to have the freedom to run around our yard without having to leash her. Come to find out, Dixie is very food motivated. The trainer advised that the cowering may be genetic or it could have been from the breeder yelling at the litter or possibly hitting them. We have never raised a hand to strike her, and while we did speak firmly to her when she was not behaving well (mainly house training issues), we didn't yell at her, but she still acted as if we were going to hit her or cause her pain. The trainer said to buy these treats and use them everytime Dixie came near. She said to give them to her for any reason at all, and to put the treats in the same pocket in whatever pants we wore when we took her outside. She didn't take long to know which pocket her treats were in, and she figured out that if she wanted a treat she had to do what we wanted her to do. The above was in December. Now it is June 2022, and she is coming to us without cowering. She comes inside when she sees us go up our front steps. She doesn't need a leash in our yard, but we still harness and leash her at the park where my husband takes her to walk. She isn't barking at anything that moves now. She only barks to alert us that someone new is in our driveway. We are very pleased with how the treats have motivated her and coupled with the training we did when the trainer advised us in December, she is a different dog now. We are re-ordering the treats as we are on our last bag of them. We have a new Shih Tzu puppy named Luca, and he is driving Dixie nuts, but she loves it.

Great treats.

Best treats ever. 3 flavors to choose from and they only have a few calories so you can hand them out when training.

Awesome treat with healthy benefits

Our best friends have been enjoying Pet Botanics Training Reward Treats for several years now. Great texture that is soft and doesn't crumble. Like everything though, the price has gone up considerably recently so I try to buy extra when Chewy offers a deal.

Training Gold

I carry these treats in a treat bag I wear on my belt anytime I'm outside with my dog. Small and low calorie makes it easy to feed from the hip to "persuade" your dog to walk next to you. Seems they're salty because my dog gets very thirsty after a training session.

Mixed Breed Siberian Husky Staffordshire Terrier female

Product was recommend by a Retail lady salesperson as a training treat 6 months ago. Since the I use small amounts, general 3 each for training, support, special good commands. Find many uses for this treat. Do not over use.

Best thing that isn’t cheese

Rollo loves these for our training classes! Worth the extra $ to not have to handle the greasy treat sausages.
