This item is not designed to be leak proof.

Does the crate sit flat and immobile on the floor? Or do the wheels make it scoot around? Are there wheel locks?

The wheels are built-in making it easy to move the crate from room to room. The wheels do not have a locking system.

Pros: Durable. "Aggressive chewer" pup with no issues. Space for pup to move around. Easy to roll between rooms. Pup is going through an adjustment period with the sliding door overhead, but otherwise comfortable. Cons: The latches are a pain. I had to go at the release buttons with pliers to loosen it, making it easier to press. This is too large to be a travel crate, however it's easy to fold into itself for transport. Also not the easiest to move up and down stairs while not collapsed.

Our 2nd Great Case

I am writing this review because this is our 2nd Greatest Cage. We first bought a Pet Gear cage back in 2000 for our first pup Cassie Michelle, who loved her Pink Pet Gear Cage with the other Door. We still have it, but after 23 years time for a New One!! I liked the old one with the Bigger clips, some are saying the back metal where it folds did they not see the clips to keep them from folding up?? Our new one comes with a carrying case that will be a Big Help when we travel again, I sew so the pad that came with it will be a big help making more pads. Thanks for our new cage and I will have this one hoping for another 23 years!!

Spontaneously Collapsed twice and very heavy for a portable crate

I would give zero stars if I could. Bought this crate to use while we were staying in a hotel with our pup. Put it together and left the living room to get ready

I would give zero stars if I could. Bought this crate to use while we were staying in a hotel with our pup. Put it together and left the living room to get ready to go out then we heard CRAAASSSH! Crate had collapsed spontaneously within a minute of assembly. Neither we nor our pup were anywhere near it.So we re-read the instructions. We re-assembled carefully. And the crate collapsed yet again. Thankfully our pup was not in the crate either time as it is quite weighty. We did not attempt a third try as we were afraid to leave her alone in this crate. Back in the box it went and was returned once we were home.And aside from collapsing, we found it far too heavy for a portable, collapsible crate.

We purchased this crate to take with us when we travel as it folds up and we thought it would be easy to transport. We were disappointed as we found it to be far too heavy--it weighs more than her regular crate. Nonetheless, we decided to keep it to use at our other home. Lugged it into the house, got it all set up, and was about to put our pup in when it collapsed. We attributed this to human error and tried again, checking it over thoroughly to ensure we had locked everything in place. BANG! Collapsed on itself again. Our girl was tiny at the time and at the very least, it could have terrorized her and put her off using a crate. Worst case scenario it could have injured her. Back in the box it went. Save your money and your time--and most importantly your pet-- and find another crate.

I put it together by myself, with no trouble. The Garage door is a little rickety, doesn't glide too smoothly, all the locks take two hands, one to hold the button

I put it together by myself, with no trouble. The Garage door is a little rickety, doesn't glide too smoothly, all the locks take two hands, one to hold the button down, while the other hand pushes or pulls the slide lever, to open or close all 4 doors. So most stay closed/locked, and I use a clip on the main front door, which defeats the purpose. Love the wheels & handle to move it around.

It would have been nice if Chewy provided a better tutorial. Also the instructions that came with the crate were so dark you couldn't read it.

Worked,for awhile

For several months this crate was great. Loved the top access for when our puppy was small and since it folded up we took it with us for day trips which was helpful

For several months this crate was great. Loved the top access for when our puppy was small and since it folded up we took it with us for day trips which was helpful. But eventually, our 10 month old, 20 lb, frenchie was able to force her way through one end of the crate. The clasps just fractured into pieces and now cant be closed. She also ripped apart the foam handle. She is not especially destructive so I had hoped this crate would last into adulthood but with one side broken we are switching to a more furniture type crate hopefully with stronger latches.
