Much safer than scissors!

First, the positives: The 10-blade successfully clipped my sweet Maine Coon's very light and fluffy hair, if the direction of the cut was opposite the direction of hair growth. The motor was quiet and did not scare her. The blade section of the clipper was easy to remove for cleaning. The negatives: When I attached the guide combs to obtain better control of the length of hair that I wanted to remain on my cat, the clippers began to make a lot of noise -- and the racket did frighten my cat. I was forced to use the clippers without the fancy attachments. The biggest problem for me was that the instructions are horrendous; they are a tossed word salad of gibberish, and the illustrative photos are tiny. A customer care rep at Chewy suggested I look for a video on You Tube. I found one for a similar product, and that video supplied sufficient guidance for me to understand how to proceed. Using the contact information I found online for the company that distributes the clipper, I emailed a request for assistance. However, the company did not respond. I will continue to use the clippers to help my cat reduce the amount of hair she is swallowing during grooming, until my vet and I figure out the source of the problem. Clippers are infinitely safer than scissors.

No good for long, thick fur

It is quiet, and didn't scare my cat, but she is a thick long hair with a double coat. This isnt sharp enough to cut through her dense second coat, unfortunately.

No More Mats!

I bought this shaver to rid my senior cat of mats. I was unsure if I could use this shaver, but it was very easy to use. Thanks Chewy for delivering a great product.

Don’t bother

I was looking for a reasonable price clippers for my Pomeranian. These clippers came up with several Pomeranian owners that had good reviews. So based on that I decided to purchase these clippers. That is the last time I am going to believe reviews. Don’t waste your time and money. These don’t cut for anything. I’m returning them.

Works great!!

This shaver works wonderfully! I have a Maine Coon and his hair gets matted a few times a year so he needs to be shaved, and this is the shaver to do the job!!

Inoperable charging device

The trimmer looks okay, but the charging cord was defective. The part that is supposed to plug into the trimmer to charge it is filled with plastic and it is impossible to plug in the trimmer to charge/be used.

Shaved down my Husky's belly just to help relieve her heat The trimmers worked great thru Lily's thick winter Husky coat She doesn't like hot summer days in Oregon So I trim her belly and she has a shallow pool She liked the quiet smooth trimming

Poor Translations

The manual has translations that aren’t real English. For example, an actual step in cleaning is “body hair will remove debris”

I thought the I would not be able to shave my cat's shoulder because it was so easy to use. But in fact it was great and I was able to install a sensor for glucose monitoring with ease. Love this gadget!!
