I have a new senior rescue that started chewing, itching and sneezing when I brought her home. I saw this was for dogs, so we tried it. It made no difference at all in her symptoms, except it made her sleepy. Even so, she's wake up and scratch or start chewing on herself, still sneezing and what I'd describe as her trying to clear her throat. Vet suggested switching to the allergy medication I use. Poor thing has been through a lot in her life, and I just want to give her some relief.
I'm not sure why they coat these in heavy food dye but the Benadryl and generic prescription versions are all the same coated in bright pink dye. I used a medicine scale to be sure on dosage - having to split them down to 12mg or <, and found the dye is weighed in, so if I wash it off, they weigh under. I tried them for a while and my dog seemed to get some relief, but not fully - his face was still very red and itchy working through an allergic (food allergy) reaction as it can take several weeks to clear. As food dye has been known to cause problems I tried a dye-free version as there's no reason whatsoever I need to feed my dog random food dye. It could be a coincidence, but he showed an immediate improvement within the first dose. I'll be sticking to a dye-free version from now on.
Started my itch dogs on these and they seem to help a bit. If anything, they make them drowsy and can sleep better. Definitely affordable!
I bought this for my coonhound whom couldn't quit scratching at night. After taking this he seemed to rest more peacefully. I only have to used twice so far to control his scratching at night. He sleeps like the big baby he is.
One of our dogs eyes were irritated and I used these pills twice a day like instructed and her eyes cleared up in 3 days
Really works. My dog always sneezed and licked her paws from being outside. These tablets have stopped that. One a day is all she needs. A happy dog again!!!!
Don’t buy unless your pup weighs more than 14 lbs
This produce gives immediate relief. Pet Armor tablets proved as effective for his allergies as Benadryl (they are the same active ingredient) for our girl I prefer to use a product that is designed for a dog, as silly as that may sound.
My 4 month old lab started severely itching, biting, and licking with seasonal allergies. Her eyes got very puffy and she seemed to have some type of hives on her face. My vet wasn’t open, so I found this in my cupboard from a few months back I bought as an emergency stash. I gave her 2 tablets and within an hour she had completely stopped itching and her puffiness was completely GONE. It was amazing. She was more comfortable and I was too. I don’t think this is a good long term solution such as predisone or apoquel but if you need some relief quickly and temporarily this stuff is amazing!
This medicine stopped her intense itching during her time of a bad allergy on her skin. She rested and was able to stop scratching long enough to heal! Great product.
