Trying to replace feather? I can’t

You are supposed to catch the feather on the slow mode & turn off the device. Well first off, the cats ate the feather, so hard to grab a cap. Second the cap came

You are supposed to catch the feather on the slow mode & turn off the device. Well first off, the cats ate the feather, so hard to grab a cap. Second the cap came off when I grabbed it, now the stupid thing doesn’t stick out enough for me to see the arm to catch it & tie the device off to screw the new one on. No screws so I can’t take the top off to get to it. It was a great concept but VERY poorly executed.

Dissapointed. I misread the reviews I think. I thought this was a rechargeable toy but it takes batteries. It also only works for about 5-8 minutes at a time and

Dissapointed. I misread the reviews I think. I thought this was a rechargeable toy but it takes batteries. It also only works for about 5-8 minutes at a time and then shuts itself off and you have to physically turn it back on to get it to work. It also seems to not be on for as long as the instructions say which is 8 minutes. Maybe it is because the batteries need to be changed? Although I have had this item about a month and barely used it so that seems odd to me.

It works better than a previous model we had from another brand, but that one had a rechargeable battery which I prefer. If someone could make a corded version

It works better than a previous model we had from another brand, but that one had a rechargeable battery which I prefer. If someone could make a corded version of these with wifi and Alexa/Google Home/Home Assistant integration so we could set it to go off on a schedule, or yell at Alexa/Google to play with the cats while they're trying to bother us during work video calls, that would honestly be fantastic. If the manufacturer sees this review, I'd jump on the same thing for $10 more with smart home integration! The thing the cats liked more about the previous but shoddier ambush toy we had is they could see it moving around through the top a bit, where this one is blocked off with the light. I think they had more chase instincts when they could see glimpses of it through the top of the toy.
