Bring your cat's inner hunter to life with the PetFusion Ambush electronic cat toy. Devised to stimulate your cat's natural instincts to chase and capture prey, this automatic device gives your feline a moving target. A colorful feather will pop out from one of the 6 holes at random, using LED color lighting and motion to draw your cat in. As he pounces and paws for the feather, he'll satisfy his ancient desire to hunt, which can help to prevent boredom and encourage exercise. Could be a fun toy
By Mila on Feb 18, 2021
My kitten was hesitant at first, and now he runs to it when he hears it work! He is not interested in it as much as I would hope though. The fastest speed still has a pause once in a while long enough for my cat to grab the feathers and carry the whole thing somewhere. I wish it was fast with no pauses, or if it was optional. We are not using it often. My cat loses interest in it quickly. Overall, it could be a fun toy if your cat likes this style of games. It's relatively quiet, moves erratically, automatically turns of after 8 minutes, comes with a set of batteries and a feather replacement. It's also sturdy and the quality of plastic/machine is great.

Gonna cuss, so you know this is real.
By Charles on Mar 2, 2021
Fuuuuuuuck this thing worked well for my cat. She normally hates electrical toys, because they're either too noisy or too predictable. She also has an enormous amount of energy. I love her, but I need to study lol. Well, this is able to distract her for about 10-15 minutes at a time, which is enough for me to get a few complete thoughts in. I think what works best about this is that it hides the toy part of it. Cats can't resist trying to find the buzzing, moving feather that's just out of view.

kitty likes it
By jackie on Feb 20, 2021 Top 1000 Contributor
My kitty likes this toy and will actually go over and stair at it till I turn it on. Easy to use. Interactive for the cat with no work from me. The kitty did immediately pull the feathers out. I just gorilla glued them back in and haven’t had a problem since. I’m glad it does come with one replacement feather tho. That’s nice. It doesn’t seem to stay on long but that might be user error. I barely read the instructions. There might be a way to program it to play longer but I haven’t looked. Overall a good buy I think.

Life saver!!!
By Soge on Feb 15, 2021
I love this toy as much as my 2 year old energetic cat, Ollie. He gets bored so easily over the 1.8 billion other toys he has and I have never seen him so entertained. Thank goodness this toy exists!! I don’t always have the time to interactively play with him ( I’m a college student in engineering school) so he’ll become destructive and keep me up at night if he was all this energy floating around in his system. As soon as this toy wears out, I’m absolutely getting another.

Didn't Last Very Long
By HPCosmo on Feb 21, 2021
Our first one was great, lasted for almost a year and then the feather stopped coming out. As much to our surprise, we had a replacement at our doorstep in a week from the company. The replacement does not work as well as the first one. The color is different, green, it does not make the beeping noise that attracted my cat. Can't get other speeds to work. My cat still plays with it so we'll just see how long this one will last.

Great Hands Free Toy
By CatMom on Feb 15, 2021
My cats like this toy. This isn’t their favorite toy but it is a good one to add to the mix. I like that it has different speeds bc I have 1 cat that is faster than the other so I can adjust according to their needs. The only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t have a timer so you do have to turn it off if they aren’t playing with it. But I do think it is a good toy for your cats to play with if you need to give them something to do without you.

Everyone Plays
By Dede on Feb 20, 2021
Three cats, one dog, and everyone loves to play with this thing. The cats surprisingly like it on the fastest speed and will manage to grab the feather and pick up the whole dang toy. Would be five stars, but needs an adjustable timer or something similar - it does the random routine 3x and pauses for a moment between each, but when they carry it off, I have to find it and turn it back on.

All it needs is a remote!
By RKYoung on Jan 31, 2021
I have two cats who have been offered a plethora of toys. They love interactives, and have enjoyed robotic bugs and other types. This one takes the cake. Good battery life, and extremely popular with both kitties. They keep trying to turn it back on, pawing at the top when time runs out. It is very durable— my big boy will grab the colored fob when it pops out and lift the whole thing and cart it around. 5 stars— have already recommended this to my mom for her cats!

Petfusion Ambush does not work
By cateclysm on Feb 23, 2021
Bought one of these a year ago for a friend, who says her cat still loves it, so got one for my two cats. The one I received does not work correctly, it's very slow and quiet. Put in the batteries that came with, then tried new fresh batteries, and there is still little to no action. Toy is worth the money IF it works, but mine does not.

Energetic Cat Enjoys This
By Scrappy on Feb 24, 2021
My very energetic cat took to this toy fairly quickly. The action is not as quick as I thought it was going to be even on the fastest mode, but he still enjoys it. Will wait for the feather to come out of one hole, grab it with his teeth and drag the whole toy around the room. Seems to like it best when it is upside down. Worth the buy.
