I’ve been using this for a few months and clean it out weekly. I’m noticing pink build up inside the water compartment and rust underneath the fountain head. How can I fix this?

The pink build up is caused by a combination of bacteria, mold and yeast spores that thrives in moist environments. I recommend looking up how to clean and control it. I found info at www.lehighcountyauthority.org/2022/07/pink-slime-in-your-pets-water-dish-dont-panic/

The Cat Version of Cow Tipping?

My cat (a 1 yr old, 11-12 pound DSH) thinks this is more fun to tip over than to drink from. Over the past month, I've tried introducing it with limited success

My cat (a 1 yr old, 11-12 pound DSH) thinks this is more fun to tip over than to drink from. Over the past month, I've tried introducing it with limited success. Despite being placed flush into a corner in the bathroom, with a little effort, she can still get her paw between the fountain and the wall (thanks to the width of the white clip securing the lid to the base). It's harder for her to move when full, but I've consistently woken in the morning to find the fountain either several feet away from the base or full tipped over. (This can also occur at other times of the day.) Placing it into a corner makes it harder to tip, but also prevents the use of a tray to contain the spilled water. She has plenty of toys and gets lots human interaction throughout the day, but fountain-tipping is apparently too fun to resist.

I appreciate how easy this one is to clean. I have 2 other fountains where the motor is attached to a cord and it can be annoying to clean around the cable. This one, the motor just sits on the base and charges wirelessly. It's very nice. I will say, I think they still need to work on the low-water sensors since I can still hear it trying to pump when the level is low.

Not perfect but a step up

It bothered me that my previous fountain was constantly plugged in and running. This gives me the option for the fountain to run on the battery and be placed wherever

It bothered me that my previous fountain was constantly plugged in and running. This gives me the option for the fountain to run on the battery and be placed wherever. The only aspect I wish was better was the motion sensor sensitivity and response time. It doesn't always trigger when I think it should and I worry it may sometimes make my cat decide to not drink.

It probably works just fine, but I never got to actually try it. I thought the instructions were so complicated, I gave up after 20 minutes. I just wanted a nice water fountain that you could just plug in and clear it once a week and that would be it. That is not the case with this product. Chewy has the best customer service and there was no hassle that I didn’t like it.

I highly recommend this cat-sized water fountain! I purchased it for my two cats in the Fall of 2023 (only 1 now), but both loved it. My remaining cat, Mango (orange/buff), is crazy and tips the heaviest of water bowls over, flooding the kitchen. He also takes his food out of the bowl to eat it off the floor. Rough childhood before we took him in. He was taken from his mom too soon, due to large dogs gobbling the kittens' food and water. He is thriving now, and absolutely loves his fresh, bubbly water fountain. Easy to take apart (all parts) and clean. I'm grateful for its longevity and quality. Just coming back to purchase the (affordable) filters again!

I also appreciate the wireless base as well and it's ability to be detached to be filled. I like that it has less parts and that the filter can be reused after cleaned. We've had it two weeks, so far so good! It's also really quiet.
