It's a scoop, but the handle is so long, you can't get it in/out of dog food bags without spilling most of what you scooped.

Nice sized scoop

I can't lift heavy containers of cat litter so I use the scoop to carry the litter to the pan. It's durable, but light weight and hold a lot of litter.

Don't know why I waited so long to get this.

The scoop makes filling my smaller cat food container so much easier. I was lifting up the bags to fill it before - usually with spills.
