How can I replace the pump cord first day use dog chewed through the cord....

Does it recirculate the water and filter out dog drool?

Answer by ChewyJul 31, 2025
The filtration system utilizes a combination of high-density activated carbon and ion exchange resin filters, effectively removing hair and heavy metals from the water while maintaining water quality and increasing oxygen content. It will also filter out dog drool.

How many filters come with the fountain?

Answer by ChewyAug 22, 2025
This fountain has 4 filters.

How do you fill it?

Answer by ChewyAug 04, 2025
Fill water into the reservoir at the bottom, not pouring it directly on top of the unit.

I bought this item because of this particular part of the items description: The large 3-gallon capacity and 54-ounce emergency water reserve are convenient and make for less frequent refills. Unfortunately, that claim is a FALSE CLAIM as after receiving my order today, I knew just by looking at it that there was no way it would hold that much water. However I went ahead and tried to fill it up but it was only able to accommodate a total capacity of 1.8 gallons of water in total before running out of room. That's a long-way from the advertised capacity of 3 gallons plus their supposed reserve... which obviously doesn't even exist.

I wish I had set this up sooner so that I could return it. It doesn't seem to hold 3 gallons and it doesn't filter the water to keep all the debris and yuck from dog mouths out of reservoir and pump, because the drinking basin is too deep, isn't sloped downward towards the filter, but instead the filter is raised, so water sits there, barely circulating. I have to fill it just as often as my smaller one(dogs prefer smaller one, probably because water tastes and smells better) & because the drink basin is full, I can't easily lift it up to fill reservoir & end up spilling water everywhere or dumping nasty basin water into reservoir, which isn't that empty, pump just doesn't reach far enough down to pump all the water. This product is one design flaw after another and as soon as I can afford to get another of the smaller ones like I had before this one, I'm going to. Don't waste your money on this.

The entire water fountain is metal so there is no way to tell how much water is in the base and there are no indicators at all, the water just quits coming out the top. If this happens when you are not at home, your dog no longer has access to water It is noisy. Extremely difficult to refill, the top part stays full of water and is very awkward to remove and try not to spill water all over the floor. I don’t believe the filter does anything, it never removed any dirt or dog slobber from the top or the bottom

Numerous issues with this product have been encountered. The water never completely replaces itself in the top tray. The water must reach the top of its capacity before it spills over into the tank reservoir. Once it begins to spill back into the reservoir, the filter holding tray fills up and overflows because too much water is trying to flow through the filter. The filter is then effectively bypassed, and the dirty unfiltered water is returned via the pump to the top water tray. There is also no easy way to check the water level in the reservoir because the top tray must be lifted to see into the reservoir. Why the manufacturer included a red LED light on the pump to show a low water level but not a way to view that LED light without disassembly is beyond me. This makes the product ineffective at both filtering the water and viewing the water level; this makes the product essentially a stainless steel water circulating fountain without filtration. The item is overpriced for having so many issues.

Beautiful water bowl but the max capacity is 30% of the dish. The pump worked great the first day or two, even gave off a little babbling noise but within a few days it barely trickles despite keeping it at the right max capacity. I cleaned the “filter” which is just a thin spongy material and it didn’t make a difference. Not sure if there was supposed to be a light but it never worked if there was.

Putting this together was enough to just stop and shop it back. The pump has nothing to hold it in place until it is lined up with the water spout. The only way I could get it lined up was to stick an ice pick down the tube to hold it in place. I can tell that this fountain has parts that will wear out. Function? My cats like it, but my 60 pound dog ignores it. She likes a deeper bowl to drink out of. The only positive I can find is that I like the length of the power cord. Sure wish I could find a large dog sized version of the one I bought my cats.

I figured if I don't drink the city water why should my animals. So I started looking for something for the cats to always have fresh water and I notice an ad about these water fountain drinking bowls so I ordered this one and I love it it's just the right size it's 3 gallons I have two big dogs four cats it's perfect and they really seem to like it. I gave it at five Star for now we'll see how well it holds up and how long it lasts but for anyone looking for a freshwater solution for your animals this is the way to go.

Great way to have cleaner water!

I have 3 large dogs and needed cleaner water. It went together easily but the instructions weren't super clear (figured it out in minutes). Maybe not 5 star parts

I have 3 large dogs and needed cleaner water. It went together easily but the instructions weren't super clear (figured it out in minutes). Maybe not 5 star parts but not bad. I see reviews about the filter not sticking to the bottom which is true but I just let it float and no problem. Dogs love it.

Windowless

The cats were confused as they were used to a different type of pumping. Our other one has a window so you can see when the water gets too low.
