What do litter boxes and bathrooms have in common? They're both best left behind closed doors! The PetSafe 2-Way Locking Cat Door allows you to place your cat's litter box in an unused cabinet or in a closed off room while still giving your pal easy access. The transparent flap lets in plenty of light and has a magnetic closure that keeps it secure , as well as a slide lock that restricts access whenever you'd like.
Interior use only for pets up to 15 lbs
White, high-impact plastic frame comes with a transparent flap with magnetic closure
Easy-to-use slide lock gives you the option to bar access whenever you choose
2-way lock options: opened or locked
Fits interior doors 1" to 2" thick (2.5 cm x 5 cm)
I've purchased this door several times for different homes. Can't beat the price for what we need. Mainly this is used to keep the dogs out of the laundry room and away from the litter box. If you have a need to lock the cat in for any reason, this may not be strong enough to hold back a determined kitty. One of ours eventually broke off leaving just the frame, but it still served its purpose.

Install was very simple and easy to do. However, it’s kind of squeaky. Luckily, my 2 cats adjusted to it quickly, but I know every time one of them goes through the door. Even WD-40 can’t calm the whiny noise.
Color of door

The door worked fine . There was only the color and I wish there was a magnetic catch. The color makes it hard for the cat to see through it and hesitated before going out. And the other thing is the wind will move the door slightly, this also makes the cat Leary of going out. This is where the magnet comes in.

I installed this on my bathroom door and it works perfectly. It took me me 2 tries to show my cat how to go in and out and use his sand littler. Recommend it to cat owners! Thanks!
inside door only NO magnet should be the title for this door

I bought this because it was cheaper. I'm just making feral winter cat houses....well you don't want this thing in Michigan, might be ok in Florida.FWIW I glued a magnet onto the door, can't get it to work but it does add weight to the door.Who needs an inside cat door?FK me runnin'
Don't buy it

No measurements on the the cat door try to trace a piece of paper that's not even the right size of the door. The screen of the door came cracked. Took an hour just to cut a hole that to big. Do not recommend product not easy installments

Was not happy with this purchase there was no measurements on the store prior to me buying it so I had to guess and I guessed wrong and it doesn't fit and I don't really have the money to return it so it got thrown away I should have just took my money and threw it in the garbage
Do Not Buy

It does not cover the core of the door. Most Cat doors have a male and female side which overlap when installed and cover the core of the door. This one is just a cover for each side of the door and you see the core which looks terrible especially if you have a hallow core door. Go to Home Depot and buy the "Ideal Pet" brand like I did.
INTERIOR kitty or small dog door
on Nov 28, 2020
If you are in need of a kitty or small dog door, this is your best bet! But, it's only for interior. I have one that was suppose to be outdoor, but it's an indoor. They don't close all the way...there is wind that can come in through the sides. But, it's PERFECT for interior doors.
Not the same as they used to be...

very disappointed these are not the same as in previous years.... I use these to make feral cat shelters and this year they did not include the magnets as they have in previous years. Very frustrating.
