It’s tough!
This toy treat football can definitely stand up to tough chewers!
PetSafe Sportsmen Football Treat Dispensing Tough Dog Chew Toy
This football lasted at least a few days before my pitbull started tearing chunks and pieces out of the treat area, and then I had to throw it away - so much for "tough dog chew toy".
A yes on this one!
We’ve had this toy for a couple of months now with no damage which is a win in my book! It’s very easy to push treats of many different sizes into it but fairly difficult for the dogs to get out which is always the goal here. Definitely recommend.
Great Toy for Holding Bully Sticks
I bought this in medium as it was recommended by my veterinarian for my 15lb dachshund who destroys all toys in minutes. His other durable toys are his Chuck It Balls and Extreme Kong in Medium. He plays with it with or without treats, but his favorite is when I stuff a bully stick in it when it gets small. I now have a 3lb puppy that absolutely loves it too because she can easily chew a bully stick.
not a good buy
The slot is really small, but big enough that it’s super easy for my pup to get any type of treat I put inside. It’s definitely made for long type chews, but even then it just slides right out. I always look for toys to stimulate my 10 month old puppy’s mind and keep him busy but this was definitely not it.
Intense off-gassing
We bought this along with the Jolly Pets Monster Mouth. For whatever reason both toys had an intense odor that would not go away with multiple washings. We left the toys outside hoping to air it out. The odor intense enough to fill a room remained so we decided to throw away both toys.
Dog football
Was smaller than I expected for a large dog, but it’s very durable for large chewing teeth. The little holes for treats work great for keeping him occupied for awhile.
Bad choice
It has a strong odor and it is too easy for my dog to get out the treats. They fall out. Would not recommend
Another pup Treasure
Well my service dog didn’t want it or play with it. Then a stray came to my house and she loves it. So now the stray pup carries it to me and dumps it at my feet. It does wonders to a stray that we decided to keep. Endless time trying to get treat.
Good Chew, No Toss!
I ordered this football/chew toy for my German Shepherd. She is roughly 75-80 pounds and fetch is her favorite game. She is also a heavy chewer. This ball is very heavy/hard and if were to accidentally under-throw while playing fetch with your dog you could seriously hurt them, even one as big as our sweet Nala. If your ordering it just for chewing, it holds up.
