PetSafe Collarless Handheld Dog Trainer Anti-Bark Device

This device has overall been helpful at correcting unwanted behavior from our golden retriever. When I actively use this it stops him from barking immediately. We mainly use the mode that only makes noise he can hear but the additional mode that makes audible sounds and flashes lights is helpful in the event that he’s not responding. The built in flashlight is handy for using outside while it’s dark without having to carry an extra flashlight to see. After consistently using this our dog stops barking just by seeing that I pick it up without actually activating it. The battery life has also been no issue which is great. We will continue to use this and hopefully reach a point where his overall barking is reduced.

I can’t honestly tell if this works or not. The flashlight works so it’s nice for night walks. But when it comes to helping with training the dogs and barking it doesn’t seem to do anything. Maybe they get too worked up to care but they don’t seem to even be phased by it. It sorta helped when they were hovering around the table hoping someone would drop food but even then after a couple times backing off they just ignored when we used it. Maybe we waited too late to try and introduce training as our dogs are 4 and 14 but I was hoping it was at least help with the younger one.

Still working on the training tool is this product, but o can say it’s for nice in my hand as someone with small hands and is light weight. The flashlight feature is nice this time of year with it getting dark so early. Make walking the dogs a little brighter!
