Does this fountain automatically turn off when the reservoir becomes empty?

The fountain will not automatically turned off once it has reached below the recommended water level. The fountain is intended to run continuously (always plugged into an electrical outlet), as long as the water level is maintained and the fountain is cleaned regularly. Be sure to check the water level regularly to help prevent damage to the pump, as your pet will drink the water, and some may evaporate.

How often are the filters replaced?

Replace the carbon filter every 2-4 weeks and replace the foam filter every 1-2 months.

Poor quality would not purchase or recommend

My first time ordering from chewy I put together the water fountain and it did not work poorly made not enough pressure with the motor tomake the water come up through

The only bummer is I bought this fountain specifically for the butterfly part and the butterfly scares her to death so I can’t use it that part.

Fun pet drinking fountain

My cats love this fountain, it attracts them with the trickle of water and the butterfly on top. It was affordable, it's easy to use and easy to replace the filters

We had it going on three years and i got a new one. If i had read the part where you could get replacement parts i wouldnt have had to get a new one They are really very sturdy.
