Carbon Explosion!
I wish I could upload the video of the water running BLACK through this filter. I noticed the carbon on my fingers before putting the filters in the fountain. I noticed one of the bags was partially open, and both bags were coated in carbon dust. I've used this brand before, so I'm not sure what's going on here.
Used to be great, but now terrible
I've been using these filters with no problems for about 8 months now. But the most recent box I purchased was garbage. The filters arrive absolutely covered in black dust. Despite thorough rinsing, the filter turned the water in our fountain gray and left an unsightly gray ring on the white fountain. My cats stopped drinking out of it. I had to scrub it down and stop using the filters completely before they'd drink from it again. I reached out to Chewy's customer service thinking that it was just a bad box and they've sent me two replacement boxes and both contained filters that are just covered in black dust. I don't know what changed in the manufacturing process, but I'm going to have to try and find alternative filters for my fountain because these filters are no longer worth buying.
Black debris
Even after rinsing the filters to get rid of the black carbon dust, the back carbon still escapes with use. Quality has gone down dramatically

The product was great but the driver thru the box in my side yard. My neighbor saw it and brought it to my door.
Shop chewy
Chewy has everything pets need and want. I purchased this item for less money on chewy than any brick and mortars sells it for. I was able to buy a case of filters on chewy for a few dollars more than the pet stores charge for one filter. Nuf said
Perfect sizing
We go through a lot of these filters. We have two ceramic fountains. - initially purchased for our cat. Now we have also two large breed dogs and both use the cat fountain as well. We stopped putting out a separate water bowl since all three pets went to the fountain.
Cats say great filters
Cats love drinking from their fountain and drink more since I got it.
Awful filters, terrible product!
The fountain portion of this product is excellent. My Maine Coon loves to drink out of the water fountain. Unfortunately the carbon and foam filters are absolutely awful. As other reviewers mention, the carbon filters break open after only a few days of use and charcoal is everywhere rendering the fountain useless. Consequently the time spent cleaning the water fountain properly is a serious commitment. The pictures included show what regularly happens to my fountain after only 1 week, sometimes even after a few days. Unfortunately customer service does not have any recommendations, other than to use the fountain without any filters. Previously these filters were quite well constructed and would never break open. Within the last couple years the quality has completely deteriorated. I want to continue using this water fountain for my cat, but I have finally had enough. Other buyers beware!
these filters are awful
we've had this fountain for over a year, i recently ordered these filters. after first use with a few days the fountain stopped working. fan was clogged with gross black goo. i have had to replace filters weekly. i am going to return unopened box.
