PetSafe ceramics are fired to industry standards and are free of lead, mercury, cadmium, and chromium.

Are any parts of this fountain dishwasher safe?

Take your pump and fountain apart to clean with soap and water every two to four weeks. Be careful not to get soap in the filters, as it will not rinse out. The plastic filter housing, ceramic bowl, and ceramic tower (except the silicone gasket) are dishwasher safe.

What replacement filters do I need?

Nice size, but...

Firstly, what an awkwardly constructed fountain. My cat can't figure out if she should drink from the pool of water, or the actual ceramic fountain piece. Problem

Firstly, what an awkwardly constructed fountain. My cat can't figure out if she should drink from the pool of water, or the actual ceramic fountain piece. Problem is, she's of small stature, and has a difficult time reaching the fountain part. Also, this fountain makes the water pool foamy. Not sure why it does that, even 2 days after it is fully washed. I do not think it was worth the price. I should've stuck with one that looks like a school water fountain with no awkwardly shaped pool.

No issues with leaking, and I don't see the black particles other reviews mention.

My only critique would be that it’s a little hard to put back together just because the sponge can get stuck and stick out of the top piece, but other than that it’s been great

Great fountain, essentially silent, easy to clean and refill. My cats were a little confused but eventually figured it out. The only issue I’ve had is the charcoal filter leaking a noticeable amount of charcoal into the water. The fountain runs perfectly fine without the charcoal filter so I just threw the filter away and use distilled water in the fountain.

Short Lived

This is my second fountain, pets love it; yet the product seems defective. My current one is only five months old & intermittently operates properly. Fountain works
