This seat is crafted with a rigid internal structure that integrates with the vehicle seat belt to provide added security for pets. The seat measures 8 inches deep and features a seatbelt tether to connect your pets harness to your vehicle’s seatbelt for extra protection. Additionally it was crash-tested in a DOT approved facility.

What is the difference between the Standard and the Deluxe version?

The Solvit Deluxe Pet Safety Seat has a quilted faux suede shell with a quilted plaid liner while the Solvit Standard Pet Safety Seat has a polyester shell with faux sheepskin liner.

The seat boosts my pet 9 ". Is that adjustable downward? 5" or do would be better for my dog.

Wish I bought this sooner

Our pup has always had troubles in the car - just lots of anxiety. He's maybe 25 pounds these days and sits high enough in the seat to easily see out the window

Our pup has always had troubles in the car - just lots of anxiety. He's maybe 25 pounds these days and sits high enough in the seat to easily see out the window. It only takes a minute to pop out and put back in but he is definitely way more secure (and much happier) riding in it.

Originally disappointed but Chewy Corrected the issue

I ordered this for my Pomeranian so he could sit safely in the back seat, However, the first one that I received was dusty, looked used, and had scratches all over

I ordered this for my Pomeranian so he could sit safely in the back seat, However, the first one that I received was dusty, looked used, and had scratches all over. I was extremely disappointed, especially for the price I paid. I contacted chewy immediately and asked to return the item and expressed my dissatisfaction with the product. I also sent photos. The customer service representative expressed her apologies and immediately had another car seat sent to me at no extra cost. She told me to donate the original one if it is able to be used. The car seat is great for my dog and offers plenty of room. I really like it and so does my dogI gave three stars because of everything I had to go through.

Not happy

This one is so hard and unwieldy. The pillow isn't thick enough to offset the hardness of the seat. The seatbelts are so hard to get through the small holes. And

This one is so hard and unwieldy. The pillow isn't thick enough to offset the hardness of the seat. The seatbelts are so hard to get through the small holes. And the caribeener (spelling??) thing that latches on to the pup's harness is huge so doesn't go thorugh the loop on my dog's collar/harness. Big time mistake for $100. I am not happy with it at all.

Can look out window

My dog is about 13 pounds. She has Plenty of room to lay down and put paws on side of basket to look out window. May put a smaller latch that attaches to harness

My dog is about 13 pounds. She has Plenty of room to lay down and put paws on side of basket to look out window. May put a smaller latch that attaches to harness so not as heavy. She is smaller than the weight limit too. The other basket for car we had would tilt down but this sits right on seat. Happy with the purchase and now she’s safe rather than on our laps.

Best Dog Safety Seat EVER!!!

In my experience, PetSafe products have always been extremely reliable. And Chewy is the absolute best! Put the two together and you have a great combination!

In my experience, PetSafe products have always been extremely reliable. And Chewy is the absolute best! Put the two together and you have a great combination! The frame of this dog safety seat is extremely sturdy when assembled (I know because I had to stand on it to get it snapped together), the instructions are clear, and the cover goes on very nicely with Velcro tabs to keep them from slipping. The cover even has a short zipper that helps with fit and ease of assembly! The seat doesn’t seem level before you put it in the car, which concerned me. But once fastened in the back seat with the seat belt the seat was perfectly level. And BONUS! The height of the seat is perfect for my shorty Jack Russell to see everything that’s going on as we travel. He loves the little bit of extra space he has in this car seat over others since this seat is rectangular instead of square. He’s happy and that makes me happy! Highly recommend this dog safety seat over any of the others I’ve used.
