  • Hang the cleverly designed birdhouse in various places around your yard or property line; keep the unit within 5 feet from the ground.
  • Hang the birdhouse in a tree, on a fence post or anywhere in your yard to cover up to a 1/4-acre area; if you need to cover more space simply purchase additional units.

Will the sound go through a screen? I'd like to place in inside a screened in patio.

So,our problem is the dog behind us.If I place unit on top of our block wall facing away from our house toward neighbor's house, am I right in thinking my own dogs in my backyard will not hear the noise because it is facing away?My dogs don't have a barking problem and I don't want to startle them.

If the product is placed facing away from your dogs, they may be able to hear it, however, it will not be as loud to them as if it were facing towards your own yard.

How can you tell if it's going off? Does the same button light up that tells you when the battery is low? Or is that on all the time?

Although you cannot hear the ultrasonic sound your dog can and will react to it. There is no indication by light that it is going off.

I just received my purchase. Directions say not to hang it over 5' high. My fence is 6' between neighbors yard and their little barkers. Can it be hung higher and still work properly?

The birdhouse speaker should be less than 5 feet high and facing the direction of the barking dog to be most effective.

Haven't used it

I haven't even had to use this yet, bur I'm very happy to know that thisveven exisits. I live out in the country and my inconsiderate neighbor leaves his dog outside

I haven't even had to use this yet, bur I'm very happy to know that thisveven exisits. I live out in the country and my inconsiderate neighbor leaves his dog outside when he's not home. He doesn't believe us when we tell him thst his dog just stands in the corner and barks towards our yard for 30+ minutes when he's not home. He told me he's tired of me complaining and that I should just move back to the city. Apparently people thst live out in the country should just be able to do what they want without having to think of others....but he has finally stopped leaving his dog outside all the time.

This Product Works!

I bought this product through Chewy just a week ago. I put it up in the corner of our yard where we have had an issue with the neighbor's dogs barking at our fence

I bought this product through Chewy just a week ago. I put it up in the corner of our yard where we have had an issue with the neighbor's dogs barking at our fence line. The results were almost instantaneous. The neighbor's dogs are no longer coming to the corner and barking--whether our dogs are out or not. Neither our dogs nor their dogs are acting afraid of going to the corner; they just aren't barking anymore! This is exactly the result that I was looking for!

The year of having to listen to nerve -wracking yapping from the neighbors dog is OVER!!! 24/7 that little beast was going on and on and on and on - all day, all night. Countless talks with the owner did do nothing, the notes in his windshield did neither nor the talks with his daughter - and then a friend told me about that "little house".....a miracle!! For me not to have to listen to this dog bark all the time when I am at home was life changing. Such an improvement of quality of life! And my cats don't mind it at all. And the best is: the deterrent sound only comes on when the dog barks - and it learned really fast not to bark anymore. Thank you PeTSafe, thanks to the inventor, thanks to chewy for selling it - I can only highly recommend.

Sadly had no affect

I was hoping this might help with the dogs next door, but even though I could hear it emit a high pitch noise, the dogs weren't phased in the least.

Works for our dogs

We originally got this because one of our dogs would not stop barking (my mom apparently didn’t realize this one is meant to be outside but our dogs do respond to

We originally got this because one of our dogs would not stop barking (my mom apparently didn’t realize this one is meant to be outside but our dogs do respond to the test mode which is a audible beep). Sometimes they stop when we just threaten to turn the house on but they stop pretty quickly once it is on.
