Can you use any type of litter with this product or is there specialty litter you must use?

This box was primarily designed for use with clumping litter, and clumping litter provides optimal results. With that being said, you can certainly use other types of litter with this box if you prefer. It is not compatible with crystal litter, non-clumping litters, or larger pellet litters.

Do you have to have Wi-Fi for the box to work or just to send health details?

There is no limit to the amount of cats that can use this litter box. That being said though, most veterinarians recommend that you have one litter box per cat in the household plus one extra. This helps ensure that if you do have multiple cats, they are able to spread their waste out over multiple boxes and prevent an overabundance of waste in a single box that might deter cats from continuing to use that box.

In regards to automatic litter boxes, this isn’t the worst but it’s far from the best. The assembly was super easy, you don’t have to scoop, and I have 3 cats and only have to empty the drawer twice a week. However, there are some very inconvenient flaws that I wish weren’t attached. For starters, the sensors aren’t great, I have to unplug and replug the litterbox back in because it detects a cat that is no longer in the box. There’s also no practical way of disposing the old litter, you have to manually pick it up and dump it, which is super inconvenient and I wish it had a litter replacement mode. I also wish there was an option to notify when a cat used the litterbox so I could rotate it immediately when I’m away. Lastly, litter seems to easily get stuck where the sensors are so it feels like I’m constantly cleaning them. If you don’t clean them, it leaves the drawer of cat waste open with no accessible litter for your cat to use. If you’re not home and get an ‘infrared sensor blocked’ notification, it’ll only be a matter of time before your cat craps on the ground before you get home

It worked for one week or less. It stopped and I have tried everything to get it to restart to no avail. The cats starting going to the bathroom next to it. I had to put 2 regular litter boxes next to it and figure out how to get it downstairs and either into the garage or the trash. Disappointed.

Overall, Im very happy with this product and think its perfect in size for what I need and except for a hiccup in the early months of ownership where the sensory broke, its been reliable. The company also replaced the original one because of the broken sensor and were super quick about responding back to me. It's a great purchase. I was going to take off one star because of the original issue with the sensor since it seemed like it was a common problem but the company was so responsive and quick to replace that I decided against it. It's a cat toilet, so it's not going to be pristine and perfect but this one is great. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could, with only 0.5 off for the difficulty of washing it. But my 2 cats love this thing, especially my overly anxious one! Pros -love that it's smaller than others -opening is in front so no chance of cat getting trapped -can see cleaning cycles in app -easy to empty waste drawer -company responds quickly to problems -relatively easy to scoop out litter -round enclosure removes easily from base Cons -sometimes smells because the opening is always, well, open -if you have crystal litter, it can be hard to clear it all out and replace -needed a replacement because sensor became damaged -can be difficult/awkward to clean/disinfect -clumping litter sticks onto bottom rubber silicone when clumped with urine & can be very difficult to remove. -rubber silicone on bottom very difficult to clean/wash -very difficult to remove rubber silicone for washing -difficult to clean enclosure when removed from base (i.e to wash it) because it's round

Unreliable device

This is a nice product and when it works it's pretty nice, but our cat won't use it, and the one time he did the device got stuck in a bad spot when self-cleaning

Great form and function!

Never had an automatic litterbox before and my cat Fergus is an older guy so I wasn’t sure how he would adjust to it but it’s been a pretty seamless transition

Never had an automatic litterbox before and my cat Fergus is an older guy so I wasn’t sure how he would adjust to it but it’s been a pretty seamless transition. The cleaning cycle is very quiet, and it rotates on its side instead of up and down (which feels like a safety hazard to me). It looks very nice, isnt an eyesore at all, and gives off ZERO smell. I should’ve made this purchase YEARS ago.

Ok, but improvements are needed

I have 5 cats. Only 2 use this box. It absolutely needs a step! I placed a box in front for them to use. Regular disassembly is needed to clean litter out of the gears and obviously to wash the interior. The silicone mat on the inside of the unit (where the litter sits) is not very durable. My 2 cats have scratched nearly all the way through in 9 months. All that being said, it is helpful. It's far easier to dump the tray once a day than to scoop multiple boxes multiple times per day. (I do still have to scoop 2 other boxes once a day.)

The kitten is the only one using it so far. The older two, Mouse and Tibbs, are curious but easily spooked. Jynx is fearless!

They have never given us a problem now using the box whereas before they would cry if there was just like a little something in the box. This is perfect for somebody who's looking for convenience with the litter box!
