This extra receiver collar is designed to work with the YardMax in-ground system, and is suitable for dogs 5 pounds and up and who are 6 months and older.

How many feet can this color cover how much ground wire comes with it

This in-ground fence system includes 500 feet of wire to create 1/3 acre of coverage. If you buy extra wire, it is expandable up to 10 acres.

My only complaint is that the correction tone is too soft. The older version of this was much loude. You must have it up to your ear to hear it.

Collar is a good replacement.

It works great! Fence is older, but new collar paired prefectly. I am so glad it keeps my dog safe!

YardMax is working for us

We fenced an acre of our property with this system years ago (we started with a predecessor product that was acquired by PetSafe) and it has worked well for a couple generations of dogs. All our dogs learned almost immediately to recognize the sound emitted by the collar; they get shocked once and rarely after that. I give it 4 stars vs 5 because of design. The plastic where the nylon collar threads through is a weak point. It broke after about 15 months (warranty is 12 months) and this is the replacement we purchased. I assume we will have to replace these collars at this rate as long as we use them. Collar for our 2nd dog hasn't broken so maybe it will last longer!

Bought the PetSafe in ground fence and a second collar. One of the collars misfires all the time and we tried trouble shooting and speaking with customer service,

Bought the PetSafe in ground fence and a second collar. One of the collars misfires all the time and we tried trouble shooting and speaking with customer service, and still couldn’t get it to work properly. Gave up on the fence system $450 down the drain. Outside window of return. DO NOT BUY PetSafe On Ground fence system and collars, NOT worth all the hassle!!

This is a good color and very easy to use and understand. However I do not like the fact that you cannot find one smaller. We use this with my cat because he loves outside. He's even gotten used to the fence being there when it was accidentally unplugged.It just looks SO BAD when people see this huge chunky thing on his neck. I wish the receiver was way smaller. Please find a way to improve this! :'(

I haven’t opened the collar yet as the package stated the pet safe systems it is compatible with and the number on my unit is not one of those numbers. I sent you
