I really, really wanted to love these. They’re cost effective and absorbent, but they do not do as well containing the strong urine smell. After a few pees, you can start to smell the urine that the pad is absorbing (the smell is coming through the straining holes, even with good litter pellet coverage). I have a 4 cat household with two litter boxes. One Breeze brand absorbent pad isn’t enough to absorb all the urine which creates a mess on change day but they’re too expensive to change multiple times a week. I don’t want to have to change these absorbent pads daily as that’s wasteful. So my remedy: use two absorbent pads. On the bottom layer using these cost effective absorbent pads to collect urine overflow. Top layer use Breeze pad to help with odor control (still only having to change the pads once a week). Hoping someone will create cost effective dupes of Breeze pads with the power of odor control.
