Dos and Don'ts: Most cats need time to adjusts to the change in their litter. During the transition, please help your cat by observing the following: Do be patient. The Breeze litter box is very different from traditional litters, and some cats may take longer than others to make the switch. Don't force your cat into the Breeze litter box. Let her explore the new box on her own. It's important that your cat chooses to use the new box on her own. forcing her into the Breeze litter box could frighten her, and she may avoid using it altogether. Do set up your new Breeze litter box right next to your previous litter box. Putting your Breeze litter box in the same location helps to minimize the change your cat is experiencing. Don't hover around the Breeze litter box. Give your cat a chance to explore it on her own. Even cats prefer a little privacy when they are doing their business.
I’ve been using this box and litter and pads for about 3 months now! I’m so glad I switched. I first started adding pellets to the old cat litter box mixing it into the regular cat litter so the cats would get used to pellets. After a couple weeks of adding pellets and decreasing the litter, I finally switched out the old box with the new Breeze box and pellets. The cats were a little weary of the box, so I took a clump of urine from the old box and put it on the pellets to give the new box ‘their smell’. Worked great! They started using the box. I am so glad I switched! No more gravel in the house! And no odor! I don’t know how it works so well, but it does!
I have had cats for 15 years. I have tried all the different brands of clumping litter. It’s all a dusty mess! I bought air cleaners and cleaned the litter daily. Still the dust was everywhere and so was the litter tracking. I did research for a month before I switched to this system. I didn’t believe there could be a good alternative. One month in and I still love it. There is no dust and very little tracking. I no longer step on little tiny pieces of litter. A huge added bonus is the smell. It smells like NOTHING! I scoop it anytime there are turds, that’s if. It’s so much cleaner and easier than the clumping litter. One draw back is the unit is small. I should have gotten the larger unit as I have large cats.
Not recommended for multi-cats Or older cats. My Older 3 cats had difficulty accepting this new type of litter, even when I followed the recommended way to introduce the new system. I also found the enclosed Scoop unacceptable. It is very short-handled and flimsy, yet needed for the special hole sizes that will sift this litter. Holes & slits in a Regular scoop are too small and will discard the litter with the waste, creating extra expense, especially during the introductory period when you're mixing the pellets with your regular litter. The litter is too expensive to waste. I searched for a replacement scoop, better made with a longer handle, because my hand touches the litter & at times some poop with their tiny, short-handled scoop. I could find no replacement scoop made by Tidy Cat for the Breeze system!! It's not worth going thru all the hassle to find out my cats may not adjust. So far, 2 have stepped in and out. None have used it. I find using the toddler size scoop unsanitary for me. I actually spent less time scooping the old way then dealing this Breeze system. I'm returning it!
Only works if yours cats poop is solid. Anything soft or runny causes it to spread everywhere. And it doesn’t cover the smell of poop at all. The urine mat was pretty good though I felt like I needed to change if every other day. I ended going back to my other litter box. I will say that the mat did help me realize kitty was peeing blood and I was able to take him to the vet go to treat his UTI.
The biggest reason why I got this box and setup was to eliminate litter dust. I have a very sensitive sinus system and the clay dust and cat pee would kill me every time! But now, it is so much better with these pellets! Also, my cat loves it so much better. She goes to the bathroom more confidently now.
I wanted to love this system (I bought a second after the first was set up), but it's a disaster. The pellets barely lasted a couple of weeks because of what was lost stuck to the #2's, so there's no way they'd make it to a month of use. And they're so expensive! This system also did nothing for the smell! My whole house smelled disgusting for days no matter how often I scooped out the waste, until I got a different litterbox & litter. I wish I could get my money back for the two breeze litterboxes and extra pads & pellets I purchased, but I can't figure out how at this point.
So typically my cat is all about a new litter box. Unfortunately my cat refuses to use this and when I put her in the litter she jumps out immediately. I was hoping she would end up using it but she won’t. I was really hoping this would be a good solution for our cat who urinates a lot. And silly me I bought replacement pads and litter too before knowing If she would use this box.
This litter box and the litter are absolutely terrible. Does not help with smell and my cat is confused by the pellets. When she poops and tries to cover it, it ends up all over her paws and smeared on the grate. It is pretty disgusting. The system was on the expensive side and not worth it AT ALL.
After years of vacuuming kitty litter everywhere in my house--and brushing it out of my bed--I tried this concept and I am thrilled beyond belief. My 20-year-old cat immediately jumped right in and used the box without hesitation, and continues to do so. It's an ingenious system, and I will never go back. No more messes!
I started out with the xl size. We have 3 females and it worked great, however it took up a lot of space. So after using that size for close to 2 years, I decided to try the smaller box. I’ve had it about a month. All 3 cats use it. It’s the only litter box in the house. However, I only gave 4 stars because the front of the box is too low. 2 of my girls get all the way in and turn around and poo. Then there is Pickle. She gets all 4 feet in the box, but just barely. So the important part is right up front where it is too low. When she poos, it drops on the small ledge and then fools to the floor. Not every time mind you, but so far about 4 times. So I did a little renovation on the box using card board and white duct tape. It isn’t very pretty, but it does the trick. I wish they would come out with a new one that has higher sides all around. Other than this issue, I think it’s a great system.
Litter Made Easy
Each complete Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System provides simple odor control. Anti-tracking pellets repel urine to keep the box dry, keeping solids on top for fast scooping. Urine passes through the grated tray to the super absorbent pad below, where it’s locked away, and the removable drawer allows for no-touch pad changes. Just replace the mess-minimizing pellets monthly and the ammonia-locking pads weekly.
Introduce Pellets
Start by changing just one thing—mixing up to a full bag of pellets in with your current litter.
Bring in Breeze
Once your cat is used to the pellets, set up the Breeze box next to your old litter boxes, in their original location.
Stop Scooping
Stop cleaning your cat’s old litter box so Breeze is the cleaner option, then eliminate it once she’s using only Breeze.
Do This, Not That
Be patient and don’t force your cat to adapt too quickly. Your cat will get the hang of it soon enough!
