Truly smells kind of meaty - my dog loves it

As a vegetarian I don't know what possessed me to buy a beef-scented stuffed animal for my dog, but he LOVES it. My cat also was obsessed with it when it first came out of the box, but thankfully my cat has realized that the toy belongs to the dog (or maybe the scent has just dissipated a bit). In any case, no complaints. I will say we've only played with it a few times, and then I put it away. I don't let my dog just chew on it, because then I think it would be destroyed much more quickly. (This is what I do with all the stuffies we buy our dog.)

This toy has a crinkle noise AND the paws have a squeaker. My dog LOVES this and its so well made that if you have a child they would like it too. Its so soft. I don't recommend washing it tho. It comes out clean. The squeaker and crinkle noise are still there but the "furr" on the Highland Cow looks and feels different after a wash. Dogs still love it but its not as pretty after you wash it because the fur looks weird BUT this is a toy for dogs and doesn't have to be pretty! lol

My shepherd mix loved this toy to instant death. The Highland Cow is adorable but has a couple drawbacks: though the body doesn't have stuffing, my dog found a way to instantly remove all of the stuffing out of the head; and the cow's "fur" easily sheds, which can't be good for dogs to ingest and made a mess of my rug.

Our two short attention span puppies play with this toy. They take turns playing with it. It says it smells or tastes like beef, I can’t speak to that because I can’t smell it. My only complaint about it is that the squeaker is to small and hard to activate. It would be better if it had a bigger and louder squeaker. Our puppies like toys that make noise and is easier for them to get it to make whatever noise it makes. They have kept this toy nearby so that can play with it. Our male puppy even brought it upstairs to play with before bedtime. If we put it in their toy box he will go get it out to play with. I plan to purchase another one.

Sheds so bad
