Great training tool!

Our two Golden Retriever pups love these. They are a great training tool. All I need to say are Cod Skins and they come running. They're healthy as well with Omega 3's in the skins.

Dried fish skins

These are large dried fish skins so they're a good size for dogs. If you have a cat that likes to chew (as I do) if you cut them in half it's a better size for them. My cats are loving these! Clovis even growls when one of the others gets too close. Still, because the skins are so large, this bag is going to last a long time.

DISAPPOINTING TREATS

My mistake: I thought I was ordering the sticks and ordered the "shorties" by mistake. But, besides them being small pieces, not sticks, Chewy rolled them very tightly, into a rolled bag 1/3 the size of the original packaging. By the time they arrived, the bag was mostly. fish powder and fish chips. By the time I sort out what's actually edible there won't be much left of the 2 lbs! I've always ordered the sticks before and they are 5-star.

Cod fish skin review

Received my order of 5lbs of cod fish skins. These skins in particular are approximately 12-16 in length. When I opened the box many of them were broken in half if not in several pieces. I was a little disappointed in the broken skins, but not the end of the world. I was completely surprised the second box I received from Chewy was an additional 2 lbs of skins that I assumed, were shipped to me, bc of the damaged ones. There was no explanation that came with it, but I was very appreciative of the gesture. Very happy with Chewy and the way they do business. Thank you

Not what I expected

The pieces are big! I was expecting each pieces are smaller...more bit size. I ended up cutting each piece but they are still pretty big. Can't really cut them smaller or they would turn into crumbs.

“Shorties” are TINY and PULVERIZED!

I have always purchased the Polkadot Cod Skins (full size). This time I received the 2lb bag of Polkadot “Shorties” and found half the cod skins were only an inch or less long! Many skins were completely smashed. Much of this $50 bag of cod skins will go in the garbage. I will always purchase the full size Polkadot Cod Skins in the future. Avoid the “shorties”! Huge waste of money.

Happy pups!

This is the way to go in a multi-dog household. This bag is huge!! The pieces vary in size, but are easy to break up. My dogs can’t wait to get these. The drool starts pouring the moment they see the bag. The smell is minimal, but this is a fantastic reward for the canines!
