I have an eighteen year old cat with CKD. So I saw this product and thought it might help him some. He had a very good appitite and was very active. I started by

I have an eighteen year old cat with CKD. So I saw this product and thought it might help him some. He had a very good appitite and was very active. I started by giving him about 1/4 a packet daily, mixed in with his meals. after several days, I increased this to 1/2 packet. On the fifth day, I began giving a whole packet. On day three, I noticed his appitite wasn't as good, and as the days progressed, he got worse and eventually stopped eating altogether. so, I stopped giving the Porus One, and after three days, he began to eat again. It took nearly a week for him to recover and start eating as normal. It was my understanding this product was benign, however cause and effect tell a different story. I'm sorry to report this, however, the reation to this was severe. Be careful if you use this product and monitor you kitty.

Attention!! This stuff really helps my baby stage 3 kidney disease..as I usually do reviews and always read them when look8ng new products. When are babies are sick and struggling. We want the best quality of life for them..this stuff is expensive but it works..I sprinkle it on everything throughout the day in hopes some of it makes into his belly and not trash can..it has helped get poop..not everyday but more regular. It's a challenge to figure out the right combo for individual animal but Id recommend this stuff to everyone worth the money to help our babies . Wish not so expensive but thankful Chewy carries this

Lifesaving

My cat was diagnosed with stage 1 chronic renal failure. His kidneys are enlarged and his creatinine was rising. His hair was turning gray. (He's only 7.) We switched

My cat was diagnosed with stage 1 chronic renal failure. His kidneys are enlarged and his creatinine was rising. His hair was turning gray. (He's only 7.) We switched to a lower phosphorus food (but not as low as prescription crf foods). In addition to Porus One, I give him VetriScience Renal Essentials Pro liquid. After three months of this treatment, ALL of his labs look like a completely healthy cat without any crf. His gray hair is disappearing. This is absolutely adding years to my cat's life and maintaining his excellent quality of life. When my vet recommended Porus One, she said she used it with her own crf cat, who is now 17 years old! Note that Porus One should be mixed in wet food or a lickable treat. It is flavorless and my cat doesn't seem to notice the texture. Easiest med I have ever administered. My insurance pays for it.

It really works. I have super senior kitties, one has CKD and the other is showing signs of diminishing kidney function. Porus one combined with Catney One, has significantly improved my CKD kitty's bloodwork numbers, and overall well being because she feels better. My other kitty's bloodwork numbers have improved as well. Most hit the normal range. Catney One works way better than the phos binders for my cats and Porus One helps the kidneys rid the toxins (less load on the kidneys). I would definitely recommend giving Porus One a shot, actually both if phosphorous levels are elevated as well.

Vomit

After 2-3 weeks my cat started to vomit from it. I stopped giving it to him and he hasn’t thrown up since. My other cat hasn’t developed a sensitivity to it yet

After 2-3 weeks my cat started to vomit from it. I stopped giving it to him and he hasn’t thrown up since. My other cat hasn’t developed a sensitivity to it yet so I still give it to him. I will try to restart it with my cat in a couple of weeks with just a sprinkle to see if he can tolerate a smaller amount. If not, I will just have to find other products for him.

My cat was diagnosed with Stage 2 CKD in September. After switching her to a renal health diet and adding Porus one to her wet food, we saw an improvement to her labs after one month of use. The powder is tasteless and odorless. We don’t even have to mix it in very much and she doesn’t care. This is pretty impressive considering my cat is super picky and know when I’ve crushed and hidden a pill in her food!

Odorless, tasteless,and easy to give. I'm hoping this will have really helped my little kitty boy with CKD the next time his blood work is done. I was so glad to have found it and when I asked my vet she was all for using it. It's so easy to give. I just mix it into a Churu and he licks it right up.

No flavor which is great but gritty

On the way to developing a good product. Leaving out flavor great idea. The grittiness was a turnoff and Grizz stopped accepting it after a week.
