I ordered this medication on nov 19, was supposed to arrived on nov 22. It ended up arriving on nov 26. My cat needs this medication twice a day and the prescription is good for a month. The nov 19 medication expires dec 20. So not only did it arrive late but I was already out a couple days worth of meds. I was able to cancel this order nov 25 and got this script filled at a local pharmacy the same day. Shipping from chewy has gotten so bad recently. I even stopped ordering my cats prescription food from here bc the cans would always arrive severely dented and couldn't use literally half of them. Now I just get their food local and now I guess I'll get the meds local as well. I used to love chewy but lately I've been so disappointed

Our cat could not keep potassium citrate down, which seems to be a common side effect. I purchased Natura Petz Organic Stone Breaker capsules, which appeared to start working great very quickly. However, a contributing factor might have been starting her on Purina’s Hydra Care product as well. Hey, every cat is different - except for the expensive part. You just have to experiment. At least Chewy’s got ‘em all! I gave Potassium Citrate 3 stars because I’m sure it works for others. I gave the bottle to our vet for that reason.

My 5 year old Persian cat got the dreaded bladder stones a 2nd time in an 8 month period & we discovered that his urine had become highly acidic so we needed to raise the PH & this was the medication our vet prescribed. I was skeptical at first because my cat has never liked beef flavored foods but he LOVES this! I measure his dose & then I add it to his wet food & he licks every drop. It has an oily consistency so I can see it on top of his wet food & can tell that he is getting his full dose. The bottle was a little tricky at first. It has a stopper in it. Shake well then use your nails to pry it open as you rotate, pulling up a little as you wiggle or turn the bottle. I will update my review if anything changes but we are impressed so far & we are on our 2nd bottle. We have to repeat urinalysis to see if his dose needs to be adjusted.
