The review is more for the capsule itself than the meds. The meds seem to be working. My cat has kidney disease and the vet has put her on this medication to see if we can slow any stones from forming that might jam up her ureters. Seems okay so far. My complaint is the capsules themselves. They are very large. For a cat, almost impossible to have her swallow. Short of shoving it down her throat, I need to break open the capsules and mix them in her food. It was working for the first couple of bottles of this medication we have gone through, but these last two, I don’t know. The capsules are almost impossible to open. While trying you end up tearing them open and dropping them in the food. They get slimy quickly as the capsule breaks down and then none of the medication will come out. Now you’ve got slimy fingers and almost no medication and you’ve wasted a capsule and the cat gets almost no medication. Could be user error, but I haven’t had this trouble with the last couple batches being so tightly put together you can’t open them. I’ll obviously keep buying this, but just beware if you’ve got any issues with hand mobility and you need these for your cat, you might have some issues getting the powder medication out of the capsule without making a huge mess!

Capsules are impossible to hide in food. The outside of the capsule becomes sticky once wet (either by saliva or food), which causes it to stick in the dog's mouth, and he spits it out. Half of each capsule is dyed turquoise, so when he spits out the softened capsule, it left turquoise stains on my beige carpets. Pushing the intact capsule down the dog's throat resulted in me being scratched by his teeth as he attempted to resist taking the pill. Eventually, he just stopped eating entirely so he would not encounter the pill. Not easy.

The price

Your detail above of product is wrong. Got 300mg/180 capsules. Meds are helping Dusty to prevent bladder stones from reforming. Great price and fast delivery.

Quick service

Due to an error, I was delayed in refilling the medication. The representative was so accommodating, and I got the medicine the next day.

I understand that there are uncertainties in wintertime and "stuff" happens, but had this been an essential medicine for my cat, ii is possible that the extensive (two week) delay in filling the prescription and delivering the meds might have done serious harm to my pet. (And, on a less significant note, the capsules are unreasonably large to have to coax down the gullet of a ten pound cat twice a day).

Large Capsule

The capsules are huge so we are snipping the end of the pill and mixing the contents with our dogs food. She gobbles it up! Time will tell if it stops the bladder
