All Pork Chomps are made in Vietnam. The plant is a state-of-the-art facility that is GFSI certified. The GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) certification ensures that the processing and handling meet the same standards as human food production. As a final measure of quality safety, each batch of Pork Chomps is tested prior to packaging. Scott Pet's goal in securing the GFSI certification was to provide consumer confidence in Pork Chomps quality and safety.

Our dog doesn’t like them.

Used to by these all the time and our dog loved them. They have obviously changed the formula and the rolls are much lighter and less dense. Our dog just sniffs it, and refuses to eat it.

Scotts Pork Chomp Rolls

We have owned Akitas for over 40 plus years. We did not like giving them rawhide or other dog chews as one of our dogs got impaction from a raw hide bone. It was a scary situation. Luckly she passed it and lived to be over 13 yrs. old. When we saw ads for Scotts Pork Chomp rolls when they first came out and what they had to say about them being digestible etc. We decided to give them a try. So very glad we did. Our Akitas love them! So, I guess we have given them for chews for quite a few years. At one point they changed something in the way they make them and the rolls would come apart quite easily and had smaller pieces in them that concerned use and we would take those small pieces away as we were concerned about choking. We buy the 18 packs. Scotts seems to have listen to this concern as they are better made again. Our Akitas say these are the best chews! We agree and will keep buying them.

Bitey Bones aka Chomps

Our Sweet T (105lb Great Pyrenees/White German Shepherd) LOVES her Chomps and so do we. When she barks at anything we have her go get her Chomp aka Bitey Bone. Being a big girl these out last any other brand. We’ve order these for years and will continue.

Great for super chewers

Two things: 1.My dog is a super chewer and can eat through things in minutes but these take all night for him to finish 2.I have a dog camera and my dog always stands by the window and watches me leave etc. however, I gave him one before I left last week and that was the first time he ever remained exactly where he was after I left because he didn’t want to stop eating this. He literally loves them more than he loves me….

Prices Out of Market

Our aggressive chewing cattle dog loves these rolls! As others have commented, the rolls used to be a single sheet that took a couple days to work through. Not anymore. It’s a half roll around compacted trimming bits. We are now a two dog household and Pork Chomps are a lavish splurge! Wish there was a direct from manufacturer option. It’s a shame Pork Chomps has priced out their loyal consumer base. If prices ever go down, we’ll be back.

DIFFERENT PRODUCT, CRAZY PRICE

My dog has been chewing on these for 5+ years. He still loves them but two issues: These used to be true rolls (like a burrito) as in a perfect world you could just unwrap them into a long sheet. The last few bags we’ve gotten don’t have a rolled center but compressed chomp, leaving air pockets, less product, and chocking risks because of rock-sized pieces that come off. Only the outside layer is rolled. The other issue is price! I know everything is going up, but these have doubled per bag in price in the last couple of months. I used to get these 18-counts bags for chewy and other retailers for under $20. The dog still goes crazy for them but given an inferior change to the product and the price, we might have to make a change.
